Where are you on the scale as we head into the final 3rd of the season?

I'd put myself at 3 - Grumbling. (After Spurs home)

The Perch Family stats

1. Lady Perch-2.

2. Princess Perch-minus 7 and getting more annoyed by the day

3.And the demon himself probably 7.5 .

Those on 1 or below are actually living in a coffin and those from 2/3 watching Judy Garland too often.

Why crap.
5 to 6 at the moment. Rising to 7 after Saturday if we lose. Not because it's Cardiff, but just because it's another home game against a side who on paper are worse than us

Because you made a statement trying to define people in a negative way purely from them having a different opinion than you.

That's why it was crap.

Notice those of us in the low numbers that gave reasons for why we felt it. Those were objective statements.

If we had said something along the lines of: "Everyone above 5 are just hysterical", that would have been a crap statement too, it being the exact same as yours with opposite attack.

Well, I can honestly say that the latest news shot me straigth from a 1 to a 10.

I can't see how the players he brougth in will keep motivation when alot of them stated he was part of the reason they came.

And the timing... Just...

Shocking.

I flirted briefly with 8 yesterday evening, but am now back down to 4 after realising all our players are still here, fit and ready for the remaining 14 games and we might even get a new manager bounce in the Cardiff game in front of a re-energized crowd.

Key holders for the nuclear option can remain on standby.

Off the scale! In a good way though! Our training methods are back, the squad is a big size again and players will therefore know their positions are not safe as they were in Laudrups 22 man system. U-21's training with the first team squad, players recalled from their loans etc. Very optimistic and exciting times ahead!

How would you feel if you jumped out of an airplane without a parashute because you thought the plane was unsafe. That's how I feel.

Changing manager in the middle of a season is a massive risk. And our situation didn't warrant such a drastic move. Newcastle didn't sack Pardew last year. They also had EL, they had tons of injuries and they were 15th in the table with 24 points this time last year.

I've become a bit more confident and am now at 3.

Not because we've got better but just because so many other clubs are falling apart. West Brom is yet another example of a club that should have stuck with their manager as West Ham did.

Mike's track record in the league did warrant it ,,he looked so disinterested along with his defeatist attitude ,the get up go attitude installed by Monks was instant also keeping our good brand of football
