Interview with a FCUM fan

We've grabbed the nearest FCUM supporter we could find, and fired a load of questions at him.

1) Who are you, and how long have you supported FCUM? Hi mate I am Kevin and I've been going FC since our first league match at Leek. I did not do the friendly matches

2) What makes supporting FCUM different to supporting every other club? It feels like you are part of the club and not a customer like at United. Our club, Our rules.

3) When fans first made the decision to start FCUM, did it feel like you were abandoning United and was there much doubt about whether FCUM would be a success? I made the choice not to go to United after the takeover. I'd have felt two faced to have gone back after fighting it so much

4) When the Green and Gold campaign kicked off at Old Trafford last season, was there any resentment towards it given that those same supporters rejected the FCUM breakaway? We agreed with it but not wearing a brand new top and a g+g scarf defeats the object

5) There's been a few former Dale players to have played for FCUM over the years: Phil Priestley, Theo Coleman and perhaps most notably due to his Youtube goal, Rory Patterson. Any memories of them? Rory was brilliant but went for more money but at our level I don't think it is greed just looking after your family

6) It seems almost inevitable that there will be FCUM supporters in home areas on Friday. Is this something that we should be wary of? Any true FC fan just wants a great day. We pride ourselves on being a family club but think we might get a good few current MUFC there watching, so you never know but really hope not.

7) How big a game is this for FCUM? It's a huge game for us - our biggest ever and win or lose, it means so much for us to get to round one of the FA Cup.

8) What does the future hold for FCUM? Is League Status realistically something to aim for? Who knows but league football is not a priority. Keeping football cheap to watch and community work means more to us and getting away from Gigg Lane.

9) Which of your players are most likely to cause us problems on Friday evening? All of them will be up for this one LOL

10) Any predictions for the game? My heart says 1-0 to FC but think you'll be too good and win around 3-0 but we just want a good day out trouble free. (Good look to you, you're a great club)
