Refwatch: Rochdale v Bromley (FA Cup 1st Round)

Dale’s FA Cup first round tie at home to Bromley on Saturday will be refereed by AARON BANNISTER.

The Wakefield official first refereed in the National League in the 2022/23 season and is now in his third campaign at that level, although the restructuring of the lists means he now also referees in League One and League Two.

Indeed, the majority of his appointments this term have been in EFL competitions, including Burton v Wycombe and Port Vale v AFC Wimbledon over the last fortnight.

Aaron appeared at the Crown Oil Arena just shy of 12 months ago when he refereed Dale’s 2-1 win over Aldershot Town, which was the only game last season in which he didn’t show a yellow card!

This campaign has so far seen him show 39 yellow cards and two red cards in 10 appointments across the National League, League One, League Two and EFL Trophy.
