Southampton Sell Out Wembley Tickets In Just Two Days
Saints have sold out their entire 36,000 allocation for the trip to Wembley on Sunday in a little over two days, great support from the entire season from Saints fans is now going to pack Wembley Stadium.
Southampton FC have put up a link on their ticket page thanking Saints supporters with the following message.
"Our Play-Off Final tickets have now sold-out. Thank you for your fantastic support!"
Short and sweet and too the point, it seems that given we sold the entire allocation in a little over 48 hours, that we could have sold far more tickets than the 36,000 on offer and so could Leeds for that matter.
But the 72,000 allocation to both clubs is still way short of the total capacity of the stadium of just under 90,000, indeed 88,898 attended the recent League Cup final between Chelsea & Liverpool & over 85,000 attended last season's Championship play off between Luton & Coventry.
So there are around 15,000 tickets out there either gone to sponsors or through Wembley itself, so perhaps worth trying Wembley stadium even if it is a hospitality package.
