Saints Put In Improved Offer To Burnley Player Wants Move.
A couple of weeks ago we reported that Southampton were interested in Burnley's Manuel Benson, but the Clarets, miffed at not being given Nathan Redmond on the cheat did not want to play ball, but it seems the players wants the move and that might force their hand.
Sport Witness are reporting that Southampton have put in a 2nd Improved offer for winger Manuel Benson.
The first one was turned down point blank with Burnley still bristling from what they saw as Saints not playing fair with their £9 million offer for Nathan Redmond as was reported on this site on the first day of the month Burnley Set To Hold Grudge
But Saints have not given up hope on Benson and it seems that they are being encouraged with the news that the player himself wants the move, the report says that journalist Sacha Tavolieri is saying on his X account that
" #SaintsFC🔱 wants to find an agreement with #Burnley with a 2nd improved offer officially sent to the Clarets table today.
The Belgian winger wants to go to Southampton !
💰 Loan with an option to buy. "
It all now depends on how forgiving the Burnley Chairman and his Daughter are after their rather bizarre behaviour back in August.
