Southampton V Brentford Rearranged
Saints have wasted no time in rearranging the fixture postponed in December due to a Covid outbreak in the Brentford squad, for a game that could be pivotal in both team's seasons.
Brentford will now visit on Tuesday 11th January 2022, with kick-off at 7.45pm, this could be good news for Saints who could see suspensions for Kyle Walker Peters & Mohammed Salisu served a few days earlier in the FA Cup trip to Swansea.
But with defeats for both Watford & Crystal Palace on January 1st, this could see both sides have a great opportunity to pull themselves up the league and away from the relegation zone should they take all three points.
Saints will be hoping that they can do just that, although before this game takes place Brentford host Aston Villa and could take a big step to safety before they visit Saints.
