Sousa Heavily Backed

Paulo Sousa seems to be the bookies favourite to take over at St Mary's when Mark Hughes goes if the bookies are to be believed.

Paulo Sousa will be the next Saints manager according to the bookies, starting the day at 10/1 a rush of stories in the press that Saints had held talks with Sousa led to a rush of punters putting money on him and be Friday evening he was down to 4/6.

Sousa seems to be the type of continental style coach that Saints seem to favour and he has also worked in England as well namely a season at Swansea & QPR and a dozen games at Leicester before being sacked after only three months.

His managerial record does not make good reading and he seems rarely to stay at a club for too long, he has a few titles to his name but the Israeli, Swiss & Hungarian leagues are not the strongest.

Whether he turns out to be the man for the job remains to be seen, but he would be an appointment that could turn out to be great but just as equally a disaster.
