Saints Take 22 Man Squad For Northern Brace Of Games.
There are a few welcome names back in the squad for the trips to Burnley and Sheffield United as Saints take a 22 man squad for an important pair of games.
Saints fans will be glad to see that Morgan Schneiderlin, James Ward Prowse and Toby Alderweireld are included in the 22 man squad for the journey up North, however it looks like only Alderweireld will start against the clarets with Koeman confirming he is fit again and trained as normal.
James Ward Prowse is unlikely to be in the starting XI in either game after almost 3 months out with a fractured foot, however he looks likely to be named on the bench and get some playing time, he is fit again but needs to get game time in for his stamina and sharpness before being ready to start.
Morgan Schneiderlin looks unlikely to play any part in the Burnley game, however Koeman is hopeful that he will be ready for the game at Bramall Lane on Tuesday, the Dutch manager will probably be treating the Frenchman with cautionknowing that he can ill afford any more injuries and that the Sheffield United game is very important.
So its good news for Saints that all three are back in the squad although not the excellent news that we could have wished for to have all three fit and raring to go.
