Refwatch Preview: Dagenham v Dale
Referee Carl Berry is the man in charge of Dale’s game at Dagenham on Saturday.
The Surrey-based official has just returned from an injury-plagued start to the season and last weekend refereed his first match at Fratton Park, where Portsmouth recorded a 1-0 win over relegation contenders bury.
Now in his third season on the league list, this will be the third time we have seen Mr Berry at a Dale game.
In October 2011 he was in the middle for our 3-1 loss at Exeter, while last November we suffered the same scoreline when Carl refereed Dale’s trip to Southend.
The majority of Carl’s matches since he became a Football League referee have been in League One and League Two, although last term he oversaw a handful of Championship fixtures, including Keith Hill’s visit to Bolton’s Reebok Stadium with his Barnsley side.
