I’m tempted to get up for the 5.28 train from Stowmarket,which gets in at 11.15.The 17.27 only takes 7 hours and 22 mins.And a bargain at only £67 too. |

If it wasn’t for the cheaper oap season tickets I’d be tempted to say feck it too.I feel sorry for anyone who’s had to fork out for a full price season ticket only to discover that they can’t make a lot of the games that they’ve paid good money for. |

I’ve just returned from a weekend of beer and German football.We started with a game on Saturday afternoon between SV Sandhausen and Archen,which saw a sending off after 2 minutes and resulted in a 4-0 win for the home side in front of a crowd of 4309.
Sunday’s treat was Karlsruhe SC v Pressun Munster which ended in a 1-1 draw with the away side scoring with virtually the last kick of the game.A bumper crowd of 30,000 watched it.
I’m sure that a lot of people on here have been to football in Germany,but if you’re looking for games with atmosphere,you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere in Europe better than this.All four sets of ultras sang their hearts out for 90 minutes solid and even the Saturday game was noisy enough.It was only the 2nd and 3rd divisions but there are some big teams down there.
I can’t wait for the next trip,although I’ll make I wrap up the warmer next time.

At least Parish actually supported the club that he bought unlike Fernandes and Tango & Cash.We just seem to have gone from 1 disaster to another over the best part of 30 years. |

If you look at where we were when we stole Warnock from Palace and where they were,it makes me wonder how could it have gone so wrong for us and so mostly right for them.They were a few minutes away from going out of business when Parish came in.Now look at them.Similar sized club and fan base with a new owner who’d never done it before.
Is it 12 consecutive seasons in the premier league and cup final appearances,with a couple of close relegation battles along the way. |

Has anyone seen the penalty conceded by Villa tonight?It was a short goal kick from Martinez towards Mings,who decided to stop it with his hand and try to give it to Martinez to retake.Bizarre isn’t the word. |

They have to count the tickets sold for the game rather than mugs who make the effort to attend.If a seat is taken by a season ticket holder then they class it as sold.Every club does it I think. |

I had to go to my brother-in-laws funeral today in Sutton,and I didn’t manage to make tonight’s match,but I did see sections of the game on the Sky app.
I’m not sure which one would’ve been the worst experience of the day,but I guess the game must’ve been the winner.
Does anyone want to buy a Marti face cutout? |

Probably not,so whether the yellow card comes in the 1st minute or the 94th,it doesn’t make any difference to how much time the keeper can waste.He was holding the back his leg a lot during the 2nd half and I’m surprised that he didn’t feign an injury to waste even more time.
Funny how we always seem to get 7 or 8 mins added on when we’re holding on away from home but only 4 minutes at home to Coventry and 5 at home against Sunderland.But we rarely looked like scoring in the previous 30 minutes so I’m not sure the extra minutes would’ve produced any reward. |
