On a side note these little video clips , by all clubs make me squirm, including ours. The Burnley one with Ross from friends literally wants to make me vomit blood |

Initially disappointed that he remains with the Dev squad for now but it’s a sensible move . Let him adapt and grow. Should have done the same with Heverton Santos although he is a fair bit older . |

Not sure. I think they may take both . £2m and Femi Sirike perhaps ? Time is ticking though for sure |

Apologies . The above is when you spend time making a considered and thought out reply and press send and you then realise the tube you are on is now underground . Idiot. Anyway , good report Clive |

More and more ‘reports’ suggesting Nourry now demanding £3m, which simply won’t happen. Ballsy move . But could backfire as £2m shouldn’t be sniffed at in our current situation. I do like the thought of taking the approach of ‘ if you are going to disrupt our season then you will have to pay for it ‘. Just don’t think they’ll go for that and the risk of upsetting JD. Don’t see Dunne downing tools or anything though . Just can’t see that |

He could of course be in negotiations to join someone , Sheffield United perhaps , in the summer and still be with us until May? Because of ongoing negotiations maybe he was left out yesterday but not because he is leaving in the next 48 hours? Unlikely , but it might be the case . Going for nothing is worse in my opinion [Post edited 2 Feb 12:15]

I thought he was pretty decent too . Could have been closer for the first goal but so should everybody . Didn’t see him do too much else wrong and yes, our left back drove me crackers yesterday . He had a shocker I thought . As I said previously , if the more experienced players in the team don’t turn up , and that happened yesterday , then you ain’t going to win many football matches . |

I think the referees have always (in general , not always) sided a bit with the home team as I think it’s just human nature . It should’nt be but it has always been there . I just think it’s got significantly more prominent over the last few years . I mean we have got some incredible decisions at home recently so my point isn’t about yesterday so much as in general . The Den must be a very difficult place to officiate at , even more so running the line . Again, human nature comes into play and it’s one of the reasons why going to The Den is so difficult and it should be like that at LR. But it hasn’t been in recent times . Having said all that , I saw another ref yesterday phone it in and try to get as smooth a ride as possible . Lloyd got zero from the ref and deserved at lest some protection . But that’s been a trend in itself this season that I’ve mentioned before on here. Our strikers don’t seem to get the protection you see others teams forwards get . Kolli gets nothing in the games he’s played . Experience must play a part of course but Cooper yesterday pretty much did what he liked including flinging an arm into Lloyd’s face ….nothing . I think there is a trend that VAR has brought into football and that referees have become lazy . Refs in the EPL now just solely rely on someone else to make a decision and unfortunately that is filtering down to the lower leagues . Buy there is no ‘overview’ in the lower leagues so bad decisions just go unfiltered. Gavin Ward drives me mental but give him his due …he has the courage to give what he sees and doesn’t lose his nerve if he has to make a decision . I don’t however know the stats for him on big decisions for home teams versus away sides . I would warrant that he is more comfortable given big decisions for the home teams versus away, as we saw against Plymouth and Stoke this season . |

Really piss*ed off to lose that . We gave it a real go and deserved a point I thought . Positives were loans unfortunately. Edwards very very good indeed. Saito excellent . Korean kid looks confident and lively . The ball retention and general quality from some of our more experienced players is now starting to do my head in . Paal and Field in particular but they ain’t the only ones. Field does other things very well of course, but if we can’t keep the bloody ball then winning games is very difficult. Ok to be constructively critical this week or will the poppets still be reading this on the way home ? |

Hmmm. Morgan showing at every opportunity. Field not showing a lot of the time. Not digging Field out particularly but he doesn’t always want the ball when is the one to find space. More experienced players need to step up . Fox Cook Chair and Field just need to take a hold here. |

Come on mate . Nothing and no one is more important than the club and the matches . Win today and it will be Jimmy who? Bit sad as he was a good’un in many ways but the whys and wherefors are for another day . We have a big game to win . |

No one knows if he was unwilling to sign a new contract or we didn’t offer him one . We might never know but I’d like to think we have been trying for some time . But we’ve been here before haven’t we and I wonder if this is another player we let drift off without our own due diligence? I understand why we’d take in and around the £2m mark and I understand why he’d jump at the chance of playing in the premier league at his age now . But I hope that this doesn’t disrupt us and as Clive mentions in his piece , we saw what happened to Hull a few seasons back . What I do know is that he should be very thankful to Marti for changing his career round and giving the opportunity to play at right back which of course he too has grasped with both hands . Sad that it comes to this but it’s football and we move on . I just hope we move on positively and it doesn’t affect us too much . See you in a month Jimmy [Post edited 1 Feb 14:33]

Tough test today now that’s for sure . Will be a big plus if we get anything from today with no coach and without our player of the season. |

Can’t disagree with much of that , if any . Spot on overview of a disappointing afternoon. Chatting to my dad afterwards we said that they were very well drilled and organised and had done their homework on us. Even more impressive with no Training ground . As I said in the match thread , Varane being subbed left a gaping hole that Bannon saw immediately and he made merry . Little Kunt. Still , Smyth tried to out run him and failed so fair play to him. As long as we don’t collapse now it’s not the end of the world . We dealt with defeats at Swansea and Leicester pretty well so I think we should be ok |
