I wanted to ask about Ginnelly. He's on the bench so fit to play. He's the quickest player on the books and would have got past the Stoke back line easily. Does anyone have a clue why LW doesn't use him ? Anyone ? |

Correct builthy. But it's the 30,000 that seems to concern so many people. It's so visible I suppose. People are very strange. If you asked them all if they'd be happy with the figures down from almost a million last year to 30,000 they'd love it. So why doesn't the government stop ALL visas ? Maybe they wouldn't care about the 30,000 then. Then the same people would complain that there aren't any doctors and nurses and care workers to look after them. |

Yes, apparently they just threw their papers into the channel for that purpose. But if they did do that how did we identify all the Albanians and send them back ? And how did we identify all the Vietnamese who were shown to be the largest group of migrants at one point ? |

This is an idea that occurred to me. There's probably a glaring problem with my logic that I can't see. Maybe one of you can. The Labour government say they've recruited a lot more people to process asylum claims. When those claims are investigated apparently about 60% are valid with 40% declined. My question is, what if you said we're going to use all the new asylum claim processors to process the illegal small boat arrivals as soon as they arrive. That you will detain them somewhere while they are processed and then deport the illegal ones. Would this not mean that anyone who knows they have no real claim would say i'm not going to pay thousands to cross the channel knowing that my claim will fail and i'll be immediately deported. If this did happen there would be a drop from maybe 30,000 this year to 18,000 at a stroke. |

'It just could have been'. What an intelligent insight. So it just also 'could have been' because he's just been elected POTUS and the pilots just thought lets end it now. It 'could have been' anything. I wonder if he's ever heard the word div. |

There is at least one major flaw in my suggestion. That is, who is going to make the decision on who should replace LW ? The same person that appointed him ? |

There's always one. During Jan it was said many times that there was a limited amount of money to spend due to FFP and P&S. And better to spend that money on getting players in rather than on getting rid of LW. Well that problem has gone. The money's still there and the probably one good thing AC can do now is get rid of Williams. If the owners have any sense they would have already been planning on sacking him in the Summer so the cost is essentially the same. Even if the person they replace him with is just given the job of keeping us up with a bonus for doing it that's okay. And from what Keith says, if the players are really pee'd off with the current training regime perhaps a change will make all the difference to them as well. |

The people running the country who have done this are barbarians. And any Iraqi who agrees with them is also a barbarian. |

A brilliant site. The only one I look at and comment in. Thanks Keith. |

Agreed the QPR performance was excellent. But I posted elsewhere that we've also had the Hull, Portsmouth and Cardiff performances in the last six league games. That's three that could be termed worst of season they were so bad. One good effort in six is not good enough and that's down to the coach. |

In the last six league games we've had the Hull, Portsmouth and Cardiff performances. Three utterly shameful efforts. Every team has some bad games. Every team has some terrible games. There are always games where you say that's the worst performance of the season. You don't have three of those in six games. It's down to the manager to fix that and he seems to be incapable. How much will it really cost to get rid ? His salary (and the others) would not be enormous in his first job at Champ level. Certainly a fraction of the amount of their investment. |
