I thought they started brilliantly. I've had enough now and they've gone a bit weird. Glastonbury is the greatest place on Earth though. Hands down amazing in every way. |

It's actually made me wonder if Biden will make the election in November or if the Democrats move him aside. I honestly don't understand how anyone can vote for either of them. |

So have Reform to be fair. |

But it is a very easy country to get employment either legally or illegally. You don't see the proliferation of cash only accepting car wash, take aways and barbers elsewhere in Europe. We're overrun with Uber drivers and delivery cyclists too. All these are easy to work for in the grey labour market. Before you consider out right illegal "work". Most migrants aren't here for benefits. |

You didn't strike me as a Labour voter. But it sounds like a better plan than relying on France to protect their thousand mile (plus) border and then gladly take back anyone who manages to leave. |
| Forum Reply | Nigel Farage (n/t) at 21:13 25 Jun 2024
There is no chance whatsoever of stopping migrants getting in to France. The border is very long and over many countries. It's ok though Reform have said they'll just turn the boats back to France. That can't work even now, under Macron. On LBC this morning when pushed my Nick Ferrari on the fact that France won't take them, the Reform deputy leaders solution was "we'll have it out with the French". Genuinely, his exact words. How do our Reform voters think that'll go, now and with a Le Pen government? |

If more people had voted in the Senedd election we probably wouldn't have the 20mph speed limit. There's obviously something worth voting for it's deciding who runs our lives. |
| Forum Reply | Votes for Prisoners and 16 yr olds at 20:46 21 Jun 2024
No but we can't control who has children. I object to voting at sixteen too, as I object to children joining a force of war or getting married for exactly the same reasons. Even a benefit claimant makes a contribution to their future, even via their benefits. I'm happy with 18 across the board. |

It's very similar to something Trump would say. I'm sure he's his own man though. I mean just look at Reforms tag line. Completely original. "Let's make Britain great" don't know where he got that from. The baseball caps will be available soon. [Post edited 21 Jun 20:38]

Definitely nuanced which is why I caveated the work / age comment there's a world of difference between earning pocket money and taking your first steps into the adult world. It's not a black and white issue, but if you're old enough to pay tax you should be entitled to have a say how it's spent. The pregnancy issue is different because it's a natural occurrence, but again I think a 16 year old is very young to be a parent. I know plenty who've done a decent job though, but equally as many children of 16 year olds who've been brought up by their grandparents. On the whole though, the opposition to 16 year olds voting seems to be down to the allegation they'd be left leaning. I don't buy that, and so what if it is. Most 16 year olds I know would vote reform because they'd buy the BS. Most university students on the other hand.... The biggest problem we have regarding voting in this country is media bias, now that's a thread for you. |

It doesn't sound to me like a specific group like that should be in the armed forces. Or be allowed to vote. 18. As joining the armed forces, working full time in a non-training based role or getting married. Should people with learning disabilities, mental health issues or or neurodiverisity be allowed to vote? |

That's exactly why he should have been there in place of the SNP. Farage has had lots of media coverage but not Reforms manifesto. The Tory biased media (basically everything except the Mirror, Guardian and BBC) are targeting Labour and the Mirror and Guardian the Tories. Reforms manifesto needs the same scrutiny but is getting away Scott free. Every point of it is either wrong, unworkable or unaffordable. It's purely to appeal to the masses. It's a complete load of rabble rousing guff. They need to be taken seriously to make the stupidity of it clear to everyone. |

George Osborne move from RPI to CPI regarding pensions cost double what Browns pension Faux Pas did. I'm not saying he was perfect or even decent. But better than those who've come afterwards in most cases. I think he also oversaw the longest period of growth in history. |

If you're old enough to work you should be allowed to vote. That's not to say a 16 year old should be voting, but perhaps not working in the same way an adult does and should not be in the armed forces parental consent or not. |
| Forum Reply | Question time leaders special at 21:58 20 Jun 2024
Apparently that's the most appearances by politician who has never been elected to serve in the UK. He should be there tonight though, I don't understand why the SNP are there either? I do think that criticizing the BBC for control of thought but then posting a link to a Rupert Murdoch owned entity is a bit ironic to say the least. |

I think that the main problem with poilitcs nowadays is that people want to vote for a character rather than policies or ability. How the hell people have though Boris and Donald are worthy of the offices they've held is beyond me. Now we have Farage with his false personna and manifesto of utter nonsense. |
