 | Forum Reply | Morgan Fox: Stick or twist? at 08:22 22 Apr 2025
Has looked pretty competent at times but follows good spells with blizzards of errors. His slowness is the clincher. Twist. |

His assist showed quite clearly where he should have been playing all day. Mystifying. (As was upsetting the Morrison-Edwards partnership). |

Someone remind me what it is about Madsen - 6ft 4in, doesn't kick with his left foot, has no pace, turns like an oil tanker, can't tackle, unable to accelerate, hates defending, just finally finding some confidence because he has been played as a central number 10 and has shown genuine vision and passing ability - that would make anyone think yep, he's my man for wide on the left this afternoon. A stinker of a decision from Marti. |
 | Forum Thread | Corners at 13:41 12 Feb 2025
The reviled (by me) Arsenal tactic, now being widely copied, is turning corners into American Football. It makes it very difficult for goalkeepers to come and claim the cross, as they are essentially being fouled (you're not allowed to back into a player if you are nowhere near the ball). Referees are losing control. But they can't keep an eye on everything. As for all the shirt-pulling... Truth is if you don't have a player who can consistently hang the ball just under the bar (we don't) you are missing out. It was the most telling difference between the sides last night. |

Apologies if he has already been cited: Joe Boyd, US music producer, worked on the sound desk of the Newport Fold Festival in 1965 when Dylan went electric, came to London to produce Pink Floyd's Arnold Layne, also produced Fairport Convention, Nick Drake and lots else. 60s legend, good bloke, rarely misses a game. |

Agreed, no weaknesses. Amazing turnaround in our fortunes. |

Nardi, Dunne, Varane, Frey, all terrific today. |
 | Forum Thread | Three reasons for our turnaround at 17:37 21 Dec 2024
1. Kolli and Morgan - proper ballers. Terrific today. 2. Absence of Scandinavians 3. Spatio-temporal glitch which has caused us to swap places with Manchester City. This team can go places. |

Yes. Surely. |

Varane plus Morgan= a proper midfield |

I though Frey was pretty great yesterday, amazing work rate, proper sprints in his pressing and, most importantly, two gilt-edged assists with perfect passes, wasted. He is the least of our problems. |
 | Forum Reply | Are you Madsen? at 17:27 19 Oct 2024
I think he may be worse than Dozzell. That can’t be right. Can it? |
 | Forum Reply | Luongo at 09:02 18 Aug 2024
Loved the Freeman Luongo Scowen midfield. Complemented each other, greater than the sum of its parts. Pleasantly surprised to see Luongo doing so well. |
 | Forum Reply | Eze for England! at 16:44 21 May 2024
Eze's recent burst of form may have put him ahead of Grealish (not playing much, overshadowed by Doku) and Maddison (hasn't recovered pre-injury form). |

A beautifully crafted homage to Stan. Thanks for that. |
