Just absolutely fecking mental. This club is a shambles and being run by a moronic bunch who are so far removed from the fan-base it’s hard to put into words. I really can’t wait to hear how they are going to describe this utter shitshow or will they try and ride the summer out? Thanks to Marti we have avoided relegation the past two seasons but you just know L1 is incoming with this clueless mob in charge. |

About a year ago almost 4,000 of us travelled to Coventry to pay homage to Marti for the job he had done. We also won 2-0 on that day. I came away thinking we might just have a special talent on our hands and can we take care of him. He’s had some incredible challenges this season and perhaps he should have shown some restraint in publicly expressing his concerns about the behind the scenes issues. Having said that how on earth have the club allowed this to escalate to the point where the best coach we’ve had for some time is going to walk out the door? Our main problem is actually finding out what the feck has happened but given how Nourry doesn’t communicate that is going to be difficult. I hope Clive and his like-minded Rs journalists can get stuck in because if this implodes next season is going to be vile and toxic. I’m genuinely fed up with arse-holes fecking this club up. |

As always you are spot-on. Brilliant article. I’d love for Dunne to stay but given his form he has surely had offers from other clubs that will make him financially comfortable and who would begrudge him that kind of move? Surely, Nourry also knows that if you allow him to move that relegation door gets closer. My family are attending the game and they are planning to get right behind Marti. |

Without Marti we’d be sitting in L1. His overall impact on the club has been enormous from transforming a squad of players that weren’t performing last season and getting us through this recent injury debacle to stay in the Championship. The Board, particularly Ruben are not stupid. I’d like to think our esteemed and arrogant CEO is getting some heavy feedback on his handling of Marti. Who knows but maybe Nourry is feeling some real heat from the owners on this. We’ve literally been selling the place out week after week despite the ongoing behind the scenes shambles. I can’t believe Ruben would jeopardise that enormous goodwill and financial backing. |
 | Forum Reply | Do Saints really need Ronnie Edwards? at 21:26 20 Apr 2025
True story- I came across Adam Lallana this morning in a coffee shop in Canford Cliffs. He was with his family so didn’t bother him too much. I mentioned Ronnie and said he’s been tremendous for the Rs. He an acknowledged me but I got the impression Ronnie isn’t quite on their radar. Then again would he really be bothered by a 60 plus year old asking him about one of their players? |

I watch a lot of non-league football from step 4-6. Amersham Town (step 5) will probably be promoted to step 4. They have a young centre-forward, Jake Tabor who has scored 49 goals this season and hit 50 plus last season. There is a bit of the “Jamie Vardy” about him and it’s likely he will move to a L2 side next season. I can’t believe R’s haven’t even bothered to check him out. I think a lot of scouts turn their noses up and can’t be bothered to venture out to see some of these lads - many of whom have been playing a reasonable level since they left their respective academy’s. I’ve watched half-dozen young lads this season who were quicker, stronger and better than Madsen. You see the odd scout but as I understand it they do not believe there is any value in players at step 4-6 otherwise those players will have been through an academy. Short-sighted and foolish to say the least. I understand Tabor is Swindon bound. |

All workplace environments operate differently be it corporate, civil service and sporting companies. With football clubs (in my experience) it ultimately comes down to the owners who eventually call the shots, even though they have a CEO in situ. In all this bluster about Marti, it’s worth remembering the owners are still ploughing in some £2M a month to keep the club solvent. Given some of the sources being touted on some messages, I doubt it would take long for the club to work out who’s gobbing off and whether they are right or wrong. If the sources are close to Marti and it’s confirmed, I would walk him out the door today. I doubt he is that stupid and naive - he knows what he wants in his career. It’s ok at the top level in organisations to disagree - in fact it’s healthy. I suspect like many of us (I’ve been watching for over 55yrs) it’s become difficult to raise any enthusiasm, given the club stays afloat in Championship no-man’s land season after season. Perhaps Marti is articulating what we all think, but ultimately he and the CEO have to fix it and work together, otherwise the owners will pull the trigger and we’re on the merry -go-round again. |

2-0 at Stamford Bridge - Milk Cup SF. That Michael Robinson goal. Mentioned on here the 3-0 at Spurs and the 3-0 at Chelsea under Sexton. Bowles and Francis unplayable at Spurs and Phil Parkes stopped everything thrown at him vs Chelsea. Who can forget the 2-0 v Arsenal in the FA Cup - sublime. |

There is no way the club will “break the bank” to keep him. It’s how we now operate and you’d have to say with Willock and Armstrong the club got it right. I assume Cook and Colback had hefty wage increases this season so the pot can’t be that high. I’d love him to stay but at 27 he has to do the right thing financially for him and his family. He will have plenty of takers. |
 | Forum Thread | Kieran Morgan - Looks So Comfortable. at 20:35 1 Jan 2025
He looks very comfortable in the Championship-what a find. Released by Spurs and has taken his chance. He’s obviously a very comfortable player with the ball but his work rate is outstanding. There is probably a conveyor belt of players like him at PL clubs who are too comfortable. This lad has applied himself brilliantly and Marti must see something in him to throw him in. He’s just going to get better in my view. |

What a great result. Reminded me of our game vs Huddersfield at ours this time last season. We nicked a draw and our season really improved. Yes, Norwich has lots of possession and we defended really well. It’s a great point away from home given who we have fit and available. |

You just know we are going to fck this one up! He must have quite a few clubs getting interested and he cannot be far away from a ROI full call up. |
 | Forum Reply | QPR v Bristol City match thread at 15:21 14 Dec 2024
Has it crossed your mind that Marti asked him to sit deep and just break it up? You could see City liked to knock it about and Field was instrumental in spoiling that. We were set up not to lose and we achieved that. Well dome Marti and the squad. |

I was sitting in the lower ER and his awareness and physicality is off the scale. We could hear him bollocking Nardi for not coming off his line quick enough. Then shortly after when Nardi caught the ball from a corner under pressure Cook told him how god he is. Real leadership. |
