As you know $hotKnees - I usually think you are spot on but I am sorry to say that I can't agree with what you say about SWP.
My reason is he is one of the few players we have playing or polishing the bench that I can recognise. I miss Derry and Mackie and fear Hill may disappear too.

I've been wondering for ages why the name of Thatcher keeps cropping up on this forum.
The main reason seems to be to derail any discussion about contemporary politics into a discussion about what happened 30 years ago. Unless of course the mere mention of her name gives some people a warm feeling? You know, for the days when there was something to believe in.
I'm not against a discussion of Thatcher if it really does clarify matters, but it never seems to. Perhaps a Thatcher sticky would solve the problem? | |
