Is it 100% a 12.30 kick off for the final game of the season ?
I have some decent priced train tickets in the basket but don't want to buy them unless the early kick off is a certainty . Any info gratefully recieved .

Nobody appears to know. I’ve seen it listed on the club site and elsewhere at 3 but they changed it in late March last season which is insane.

Chances are it gets moved but why it can’t be announced months in advance is anyone’s guess. Just total contempt for supporters.

Didn’t somebody say paddy power had it at 1230 ko not so long ago ?

I’m guessing same as Coventry last season it’s 1230 ko , the Orem black out is still in place and sky will want to show EFL games

Isnt there something in there that all games in the last round of fixtures all have to kick off at the same time? Which I guess doesn't have to be 1230 but I assume if that's how everything looks now across all fixtures, would be far more of a pain to change than any other fixture the rest of the year.

Yes they do have to all kick off at the same time & Sky will be showing all 12 games live.

Obviously, most will be on Sky Sports + red button, but this game has the potential to be promotion deciding. Sunderland, not Rangers!

Yeah. I think the last game is now exempt from the 3pm blackout unless I imagined that. Still even if that is the case, they’ll want to move some leagues to not be all on at the same time and ours is the one they’ll want to clash least with the Prem. If it is 12:30 or 5:30 or whatever then fine but would be quite nice with expensive trains to have a tiny bit of communication from our EFL overlords.

They could change it to a Sunday 12.30 ko?Knowing what a bunch of c@nts Sky are, they probably will do.

The bottom line is, the fans, via their clubs, need to get this info ASAP. The trains are on Sale, so QPR (all clubs) should be chasing the EFL for outright confirmation. Knowing we all KO at the same time is a given but not much use without knowing what time that is.
Of course, we all know what the real hold up is!

Indeed. On May 3rd there’s also a full Premier league schedule and Leagues 1 & 2 all currently listed with 3pm starts.

So if Sky want to show any season denouements, something has to move under the current rules.

I mean we are assuming a move to 12.30 but who’s to say that it won’t be half 5 or some other abomination.

Agree. As per my post above surely one of the Championship, League 1 or League 2 final day schedules will move to a different day. I can’t see how else Sky will do it unless they ignore ( I.e decide not to show) the finale of one or more of these divisions.

I'd imagine the only games that could be moved are ones that would not have a bearing on promotion, play-offs and relegation to avoid conflicts of interest.

I have just literally phoned the EFL, the chap was very pleasant but unable to give an answer, said there had been a lot of queries, clubs are still in discussions and a decision should be made soon.
So none the wiser.

Actually, it's 100% that it won't. The terms of the Sky deal includes...

"All opening, final day, and midweek fixtures in the Sky Bet EFL will be shown live."

and

"The new deal allows for 'Article 48', the blocked broadcast period between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on Saturday afternoons to remain, meaning that main broadcast fixtures will be scheduled for outside of this time."

Right now final day fixtures for Championship, L1 and L2 are all down as 3pm Saturday so to meet the deal terms all of them will have to move.

I'd not be surprised if 12:30 Saturday, 4pm Saturday and 4pm Sunday will be assigned to each league.

My guess is we get Sunday 4pm, mostly because the Prem has that slot a few weeks later.

Edit : actually I forgot that it is Bank Holiday weekend so I guess something could move to the Monday slots.

It’s also the Rugby League ‘Magic Weekend’ in Newcastle along with the bank hol so our idea to do a couple of nights in Newcastle are looking unlikely given I could do a nice week in Spain for the same price.

Ah, that's why the hotels are so expensive. Trains/flights are too.
Maybe a bucket list trip to the San Siro instead.
Will change my mind after we win our next 4
