Several newspapers are carrying reports that following her poorly received mini budget, Truss considered scrapping NHS cancer treatments to save money. To be honest I was stunned when I first read the article in The Independent and thought it was a wind up because April the 1st had passed, but the story is being carried by nearly all the papers. The articles give the impression that things were shambolic under Truss, but it’s staggering that she and some of her team could countenance such a move.
There seems to be a conspiracy going on with every paper and left wing outlet ripping her to shreds, despite the fact that she’s not even an MP anymore.
Wouldn’t believe anything rags say. Time to leave the woman alone FFS

We're going to be paying for years. She deserves all she gets.
It's a close run thing between her and Boris for worst PM in history.

Did those newspaper reports say cutting or scrapping. Both are inexcusable but there is a massive difference.
Read the Guardian one, it doesn't really say scrapping.
On that Independent link somebody called "Tristan Clark-Lam says we should stop the elderly from voting! Very fascist, you don't like how people vote so deny them the right.

What would the reaction be if we swapped the word elderly for black? I wonder how long it would take Plod to knock on his door?

No such thing as worst PM in history, it should be blindingly obvious by now that no matter who is in charge, we get the same. It's the globalist elites who are running the show

As long as it wouldn't have affected her or her own or her party etc she wouldn't have cared less, if people couldn't have afforded to pay for the treatment
Heartless old cow, much like the rest of her fellow cabinet/MP's.

I'd have said her admirers are concentrated in one faction on the right. She wasn't even popular with the last cohort of Tory MPs. They just wanted her to fade into the past, but she had an annoying habit of seeking attention at any opportunity.

Ahhhh it's in "THE" book.... QUOTE: "claims new book".
Considered scrapping "ALL" cancer treatment?
Shove fake news and untrustworty books aimed at idiots and the uninformed where the sun doesn't shine.
"Books hey"? Like the "fantasy" lie filled book about the (former Morriston solicitors situated close to Sway Road police station hey!!!!!) Clydach murders.....David Icke's infantile venture into literature after he had left the world of BBC snooker and bowls presentation to become an expert on skyscraper structual steel, along with all the others on show upon the shelf in the'pseudoscientific' and 'conspiracy theory' book sections of Boots and Waterstones.

The Independent which was the first to report the claims quoted someone as followed “We’ve been told that they’re looking at stopping cancer treatment on the NHS.” It’s unclear who said it, but it’s there.
The Telegraph uses the term scrapping in the below article.
Kwarteng who was also said to be involved told The Independent: “I wasn’t involved in any conversations about restricting healthcare, but that doesn’t mean the prime minister and her team didn’t discuss this.”
That suggests to me that somewhere along the lines a conversation took place.

You say most politicians hate the old, the older generation are far more likely to vote Conservative than any other group, so it doesn’t really make sense to have “seen them off to the dust bowl.”
Cancer affects many people and their families, I just find it staggering that someone could even dream this idea up.

What part of "cloud cuckoo land" do people belong to?
Do people seriously believe that a politician was seriously considering scrapping (as post title suggests!) "All" chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment for "All" patients by effectively closing every cancer treatment centre, specialised hospital or specialised hospital faciity throughout an developed Western nation?
And not just that? Sacking a huge percentage of highly qualified NHS employees who happen to work in a particular field of expertise?

Well I'm approaching 64 and I'd never vote for them or Labour for that matter.

It's easy to sell lies and untruths to people who want those lies and untruths to be true.
