Yep, to be fair he could have put his money where his mouth is and supported his family's local community club Bury FC, with a stand named after his Dad, rather than let it nearly die.
Instead he chose to be the front-man for foreign money at Salford FC in an attempt to profit from local United fans who don't travel to away games, further cannibalising support for clubs like Bury, Oldham, Rochdale etc.
