Yes - still around just not posted very much recently.

Very happy to step up and start this thread and hope it will change our luck.

Tough game this and although Cardiff have been pants recently they will take heart from the weekends comeback. Stop Moore scoring and we have a good chance - so I am going for a hard fought win but it will be close. 1-2 with Charlie coming good.

It's not easy to play against these defensively-minded teams that are just waiting for set pieces and corners to score from, but we managed to ride out the storm at the end.

I know that his goal won it in the end but I thought that wasn't great by Gray taking himself off like that. Making a spectacle of himself. I don't think Warbs was happy either.

He was injured? Could clearly see him pointing to the back of his knee and Warburton gave him a pat on the back.

Thank Christ for that. I was actually starting to feel nauseous during that series of corners.

I was Ok with the corners, we have been pretty good at defending them. It's when it gets knocked out to the edge of the area, that's when I hide behind a cushion.

As an aside, Cardiff the next into admin?

Not sure what Vincent Tan's doing these days?

If they go down though....

Yn ôl y galw - edau paru Caerdydd or Back by demand - Cardiff match thread on 21:40 - Nov 3 by strikerace

Every match the same thing. Difference today is Cardiff couldn't find the net

The Championship. In a Nutshell.

They were truly awful and their only threat was long throws and set pieces.

We made really, really hard work of that. The lack of pace in our team is hindering us massively at the front and the back. Gray is meant to be fast; not seen it yet.

BUT, a win is a win. Dozzell looked good today; shame that he's started playing just as Sam Field comes back. I get the feeling that we just have to stay within shooting distance of the playoffs and we will do along with about 10 other teams. Everyone will be in with a chance of making the playoffs because of the reason strikerace gives - its the Championship in'it?

Can we go out yet?

Crikey this divisions tight, barring the top three and the bottom five it's anyone's game.

Jeez what a miserable thread.

After 40+ years of watching us be sh*t in midweek aways anywhere outside the M25, I revel in any win like this.

Great performance to a man. Odubajo's best game for us so far, particularly the run that ate up the last minute. Dozzell looking the perfect man to step into Johansen's shoes.

Spot on.... which is why you have teams like Coventry and Huddersfield in the top 6, and yes even us
Apart from the big 3 there are at least 10 teams all with a chance of the other 3 play off places.
Great stuff lol

Not pretty to watch but there will be plenty of games in this division similar, this can be challked up as a very good win, a lovely goal as well.

Team should take heart from this, a dogged performance maybe but another against Blackpool on the road is what it will take to keep in the top 6, we were always going to be chasing Fulham WBA and Bournemouth,,and hanging on we are but we are still there,.

I agree that the younger players did well but if I am being honest I think the senior ones, Albert aside, can give more. Barbet, for example, what has happened to his passing ???

Honestly, that was massive. Cardiff was crap but we’ve lost to crap teams before. And we showed some steel. Admittedly thought when that Dykes chance on goal got cleared (again) that we’d rue the day just like against Forest, but we held on for the clean sheet.

Props to the defense, especially Dunne. Thought he played great. So did Moses.

Do agree with the sentiments that we are struggling to beat high lines because of our lack of pace up front. Gray got behind a few times but some poor touches or misplaced passes squandered those chances. It’s truly something I hope we rectify if we’re in it around January. Can’t remember if young Kelman has some legs on him, but could be worth a look.

After the week we've just had and all the bad luck I almost couldn't care less how we did it. Just happy to take the 3 points and a clean sheet.

Yes, he scored but also kind of hope Gray never plays for us again after that staggering lack of commitment.

Worst Cardiff team in the last 20 years. Their game plan is basically; putting it in the mixer. Absolutely shite. We should have whooped them really.

If they stay up I'll be surprised. Dead weight of a club.
