There's something similar being mooted for Rugby as well. Read something today (skim read) that there were to be no scrums, no stand up tackles and a few other bits and bobs.

Sally Nugent (sigh...) reported this morning on the Beeb that they are considering limiting scrum time, washing hands and faces before, during (half time) and after games etc..

All seems of limited point to me.
