Had two windows replaced in September by MPN, the fitters were in and out within a couple of hours. Had no problems whatsoever. All nice guys from the guy who originally quoted me, to the guy who came to measure up and the fitters a few weeks later. 10 year guarantee on the windows, no idea if that's standard. Don’t ever used safe style, the cheap buy one get one free windows are apparently terrible, then they jump massively in price, basically they just want to get you on a finance agreement, the w@nkers....and that’s from a guy I know who worked for them |  | | |

I used Safestyle at my old flat (I'm in London)and to be honest I can't fault the windows, however they do like the hard sell approach. I persisted and got them down to about half the original quote.
That said, this was 18 years ago so I cannot say what they are like today. When I had my house done I got quotes from the national firms, all use the same hard sell type approach, want me and my wife there while they tell me how good their windows are compared to everyone elses. They then all used the trick of "If you sign today I can know x% off" - told them all to go away and I would think about it. I then contacted a local firm who gave me a quote that was just over half of what the nationals quoted and included quite a few extras. I went with the independent - when I told one of the national companies I got the usual "what if they go bust" (they've been around for 40 years & the guarantee is an independent insurance backed one). The job done was excellent as was the aftersales.

We used Ffenestri Kevin Thomas who are based in West Wales when we had our windows. When my parents upgraded they had quotes from Nolan, Ffenestri Kevin Thomas and Royston Gooding (small one man band). Thomas and Gooding supply windows from the same manufacturer; there wasn’t a lot between the 3 quotes and they ended up going with Gooding who was the middle price. [Post edited 22 Jan 2020 19:35]
