I honestly don't understand some of the abuse marmite gets. We've tried jam and it just doesn't work. We've got to start thinking long-term. Marmite can last for years in the cupboard ,longer if left in the fridge. I agree though that it needs something with it that's been around a long time...some cheese maybe.
