Just one thing from my own experience from when I visited Paris.
The Eiffle Tower isn't actually as magnificent or beautiful like many people would like you to belive. Actually, the closer you get the more ugly it gets :D
But, if you get a chance, go and see it when it is getting dark - that's when they will lit it up. Ask your guide if you have one, or just try talking to people around you to get the exact hour (although it might be a bit difficult given the fact the French don't speak English well). It's best to stay far away from it to really see all the illumination.
Not sure if it helps but the Eiffle Tower all lit up is by far the best memory I have from Paris.
It's not an attractive structure, but it's enormous. Standing directly underneath it is amazing!
Be careful around Le Butte (Montmarte/Sacre Couer area). Lots of pick pockets and there's an old scam going around where a group of africans will call you over and take your hand. They start weaving a kind of loom band around your hand and ask you for money afterwards. Watched it happen to lots of people.
Don't get a portrait done by a street artist - crap and expensive.
Don't eat in the main tourist areas as it will cost you.
Tip: There's a pub in Pigalle called Corcorans. They do a happy hour 4-7pm which if my memory serves me right at 4/5 euro a pint.
Went yesterday just 30 mins on the Metro to get there. Fantastic rides etc bit pricey to get in 90 euros for all parks but would have blown that in paris anyway. Lots of queing initially but after six oclockish it goes a lot quieter then easy to get on the rides. Advice pack lots of food and water if you have a family as the grub is expensive. Great firweork display at the castle 11pm to finish off.
Did nt even have time to visit Disney Village with all the bars and nightlife etc. give Disney studios a miss it's crap.
RER metro train station just outside the gates with thousands of people swarming out still no problem to just jump on a cramped double decker train to get home.
Try it if you can open all year.
