TimSaint is pretty spot on. Dull with saints in control for first 15mins then Swansea had the game for 30 mins in the first half and won it with a breakaway from a corner finished well by sigurdsson in the 2nd. Even the corner they scored from was heading straight at forster until OR thundered it in!

Our full backs played well, but tadic was awful, totally static and when he had the ball very slow to make a decision. Redmond barely better...summed up by when some boufal magic laid it on a plate for him and he sliced it for a throw in..I didn't see him blame boufal as I had turned around with my head in my hands!

Boufal was brilliant, created so much, should have had a pen and swansea couldn't get the ball off him, even when they double teamed him. One thunderous tackle from OR was like a firework going off!

Why did Puel have to wait until 60 to take Tadic off?...that was obvious at half time. Simms for redmond earlier would have been good and clasie was anonymous whilst McQueen threw himself about.

All in all, first half was poor, but 2nd was a good game with Saints pressing and we found our voice. I don't begrudge Swansea the 3 points if it means they stay up.

Dusan doesn't seem to like mid week away games. Overall we should have had at least a point in this game. finishing again pretty average one mistake and one unfortunate first goal against as i like the fact romeo tried to track his man better than he has been doing and the defensive pressure giving the forwards to much time to play on that break on the second = two goals for 3o mins first half we went to sleep second half all over them . but then teams know how to park the bus against us still thought it was a good game and performance by us especially second half. welcome back Boufal and hello Manolo give them time to jel

Same old thing 22 attempts 1 goal to show for it, l like the look of Gabbi looks like he will make a difference.Defense in the middle still looking very shakey although Yoshida was as usual fairly steady, Stephens will be eaten alive against United and l fear for a blowout.Just praying VVD can somehow come back earlier than expected, will be waiting for the interview with Puel to hear the same excuses again.

Les Reed has questions to answer. Total lack of strategic thinking - the very thing he is supposed to provide. Doesn't matter whether it was arrogance or ineptitude- he has failed. We have a squad of very average players who are collectively under-performing. Losing a Euro Champs winning centre half was only the most recent spectacular error. Saints fans will view the final with some trepidation...

Should have kept Fonte and sold Rodriguez.

For me despite a disappointing result, the team tried, albeit too deep. We play much better when we press higher up the pitch.
Gabbi looked exciting and worked hard.
The worst part for me, (and here come all the negative votes) was the crowd. Never in my life have I felt like an away fan at home. Every time I go to watch Saints the crowd is singing. Today was like a library. West ham fans sang when the saints go marching in more than our own. In fact it was the 64th minute by the time it began to be heard by our own. The West Ham fans dominated the stadium with their 95 minutes of singing, it is no wonder our guys didn't perform so well without our 12th man

I simply cannot get over the fact that the club thought it safe to not bring in a CB. The equaliser today said it all. I can't see another clean sheet until VVD returns and given our usual shots to goal ratio that means we are in trouble. We looked and played like relegation candidates today. Wet Spam are not a very good side but they beat us on our own ground without breaking sweat. I would happily settle for 40 points and getting through the final without humiliation - that would actually be an achievement for us now. The high of Anfield now seems a very long time ago.

Today we had plenty of luck, trouble was it was all bad luck. Over twenty shots, many on target and from what I saw, every one of our players was playing his heart out. Gabbi looks a good buy and apart from scoring, he also seemed to be up for the fight as well.
I think Wet Spam got lucky today, Carroll was his usual self which we failed to neutralise, but their other goals were both dealt with a large slice of luck which on another day, would have been blocked or dealt with by our defenders.
With defenders in mind, I thought Yoshi had a solid day and Stephens whilst trying his best was clearly nervous and will benefit from his team-mates experience.
So we live to fight another day and on another day where the opposition is less lucky, we could either gain the three points or bring home a cup. Despite some saying the fans were quiet, I and those in my area were very vocal and got right behind the team, I intend to keep roaring them on.
