Essentially it came down to quality of strikers.

Suarez had one half chance and buried it. Jay Rod and Lallana had better chances and failed. Getting caught on the break for the second was understandable BUT.. I thought the defence - with the exception of Chambers - had poor games. We made more Liverpool chances than they did. Shaw has not done himself any favours yesterday in terms of playing for England.

Ramirez was great for the first 10 minutes of the second half then disappeared. Wanyama is just not good enough in possession to play the style MP wants. (He was unlucky to get booked for a perfectly good tackle).

The ref was vague and never in control but he was equally bad for either team. Time we looked at adding a quality finisher because I fear that without one, we are a mid table team.

Did Green an injustice. Having seen the highlights, he was down very quick to save the penalty, the free kick took a big deflection which I hadn't seen and the save where he pushed the ball out was better(safer) than I thought.

I thought we were well on top and 2-0 definitely flattered Brighton.

Nice ground easy access and exit and comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. However, my seat was in the corner and low down (row J) even though I got from box ofice just an hour or so after it opened. It made it difficult to get a perspective on what was happening at the far end and at times to work out if it was Hill or Dunne who was making challenges.

Transport links and car parking difficult for remote location. Hope we can do better, in future, but always going to be a major headache. We are so lucky with LR.

Got the result .Some great play involving Ravel and Niko,Solid at the back with Dunne and Hill. Both Jenas and Traore are getting better and more committed-the latter looks like he will be out for wahile and will be missed
Always felt that we could win against the Green army but it took a lot longer than expected and only when Zamora was back
Keane is young but does not read the game well-why was he loaned?
Impressed with the away fans and the game could have been completely different if the shot that hit the crossbar was slightly lower
Great to have a win again but think that the play offs willl be the best that we get with the top two more consistent than us

I would call this a game of 4 parts.

In the opening 15 minutes or so, we threatened to run up a massive score and played well. The choice of a single striker which looked odd on paper did not seem to make much difference.

Then a period of endeavour and effort but no penetration. I did not detect any Norwich tactical changes, but the Saints just seemed to lode their way.

The second half and especially after Ricky came on and we were a bit more direct saw us pick up, score twice and were cruising.

The last 10 minutes or so we did our best to throw the game away. Against a better team we could have converted 3 points to 1 easily and that sort of sloppy approach has to be nipped in the bud. How many good teams win matches in the last 10 minutes? Most of them because they play for the whole 90.

Referee was inconsistent and on another day I suspect that Norwich could have been down to 10 or less.

Perhaps 7/10 but concentration needs to be better.

Krancjar and Morrison both very fortunate not to be sent off for second bookable offences.

Another performance lacking any real sign of goal threat. Keane is willing but a powder puff presence. Hoillet never seems able to execute, despite the many promising positions he finds himself in. Morrison is in another league but needs the supply that nobody is good enough to provide.

Probably the best game of the season . Wigan were great and I can see them only getting better but we shaded it
There were strong performances all over the park in particular Green, Zamora and Barton.
Great to get an early goal which should have settled the nerves but Wigan came back strongly and dominated the first half
Not a fan of Carroll but he put in a good shift though some of his passes went wayword. Sevral fine saves from Green including one deep into injury time meant that we leap frogged in to 3rd position
Proud of the ways Rangers performed especially after the Sheff Weds debacle-hopefully this will get us on a run and into the automatic positions but will be a tall order

Definitely rode our luck at times - Green outstanding - but effort levels from everyone much improved over last two games. Been advocating Yosi’s full inclusion since he arrived, he’s a class act. Never panics on the ball, excellent control & decisions, creative player (ludicrous red card, thx ref). Carroll’s a liability - tried hard, did some ok things but naively gives the ball away far too often in terrible positions & almost cost us a goal (Faurlin would be such a good replacement for him - if only). Hill played well although missing in action a couple of times at left back. Even Bobble Z did ok holding up the ball although clearly held together by sticky glue - any half decent forward would have lashed that opportunity home. Well done R’s - too late to catch Burnley, bollocks. May have to play Wigan a couple more times - won’t be easy.

Bottom line for me is that everyone put a shift in, which is all you can ask whatever the result. This has to happen EVERY SINGLE GAME to have any chance of promotion. Philips & Austin back and we could just make it. Wish Harry had launched the teacups a bit more often this season.
