Think people are being a bit harsh on Faurlin who was trying to be a one-man midfield, outnumbered and overrun. Jenas as usual looking for a space where he will be unlikely to bump into an opposition player. Diakete, well what can you say, did he send his twin brother in his place (the one who can't play football). Out of position but embarassing. At least SWP could see what was happening and moved in to help. But one goal in 2 years for "Sooper" and at this rate another two years to wait - dreadful attempt when through. Neither Austin or Johnson added to their reputation, shots and headers all high wide and not so handsome. But no midfield at all, must have been introduced to each other before the game. Harry's post match regret very amusing. Leeds on Saturday obviously No1, 2 and 3 priority.

There was a lack of invention and pace. The midfield was very poor. Not as much commitment as Swindon. The feed to the front two was virtually non-existant. Having said that, I thought we at least deserved to equalise in the last 15 minutes, which might then have allowed us to go on to win in XT.

Disappointing night on the European road again but was always going to be low key after the destruction at the Liberty last week. Some players were given the chance to shine but did little to add to their credentials moving forward. Needless bookings could cost us at some stage in the competition but overall it is job done so far and now for the group stages and the next 6 games.

just a short note that todays support was probably the most vocal since the first season in the premier league. More of the same please.

against leeds they were very good defensively but at times they overplayed it and it could have cost them a couple of times. It would have been much better if they played long ball with austin up front. There is still a lack of a major goal threat and at times you could see johnson and austin haven't completely jelled and there is a slight misunderstanding between the pair at times. But on the whole it was a very professional performance with them holding the ball very well at times.

A big improvement in how we played the game today, more positive game plan from laudrup but he must sort out our declining discipline...

Thought it was a very average game, disagree with tim about Barton's contribution, thought most of his passes pinged wide before he got lucky with a bounce to set up their best player on the day, Hill's winner, the fact he was their best player says it all, QPR came for a draw and nicked the win. I thought we were very stand offish and dare I say in awe of their big names. Creativity was none existent until Diouf came on but we failed to attack his crosses. Noel Hunt, well I tortured my eardrums and listened to Radio Leeds again (West Yorks Sport to be politically correct to those saddos from Udders and Bratfud) and they saying be a matter of time and luck for him, I think he looks a poor signing and still on his honeymoon. Ps at least Yorkshire Radio focused on LUFC entirely how I miss Eddie and Thom in the car going home rather than failed football manager Andy Ritchie and Adam Pope whoever he is?

we showed some poor tackleing today which could of cost us the game we were lucky in the first half to only lose one player for rash tackling ,we need to learn the art of defence tackling and when not to dive in . on the whole we contained a poor bury side which showed in the result 1-0 we were lucky to get away with it . and hopefully hilly will sit in the stand and see what we see some day donnally should have gone off earlier and we might of got another goal as it was obvious he ran himself to a standstill

Gritty 1 nil game that was frustrating to watch as we played a team that we should be picking apart. Barton was his usual sparky self and looks tottally committed to the cause.
Good performances from Onhua and Dunn at the back and great to see Austin chalk up his first
Tom Carroll had too m many misplaced passes but lets give him a few games
Sadly Zamora looks past it-it was at time embrassing to watch and when he was substituted the flow of the team improved.
Second in the league can we ask for more............I think we should

another ugly win we were solid at the back very. Brum shaded first half and should have scored as had at least 2 decent chances. SWP coming on made a difference and he had a good half. we can and will get better.
