Southampton Will Not take Less Than They Paid For Central Defender
Thursday, 6th Mar 2025 15:14

West Ham United & Crystal Palace are said to be interested in buying Taylor Harwood-Bellis in the summer, But Saints will not sell at a loss to the £20 million that they paid Manchester City last year.

footballinsider247.com are reporting that Southampton have warned clubs circling around St Mary's in the summer, that Taylor Harwood-Bellis won't be allowed to leave for less than the amount that was paid for him when he joined the club last summer

That is said to be £20 million, however his value has now increased to around the £25 million mark after being on of the few successes in the Saints side this term and also winning a full England cap when he came on as a substitute and scored against the Republic Of Ireland last November.

Saints are braced for offers coming in for their top players, such as Harwood-Bellis, Tyler Dibling, Aaron Ramsdale and Mateus Fernandes, but with all on long term contracts, they are not going to be forced to sell cheaply and are content to let them play in the Championship next season for the club, if the asking prices aren't met.
