Another dip into the past to take a look at some of Saints previous visits to Anfield, which in recent years haven't been as enjoyable as some in the past, anyway give your memories of previous encounters.

First up is 2013/14 when a Dejan Lovren goal gave us a 1-0 win.

Second up up is 2014/15 when we went down 2-1 on the opening day of the season, in what was Ronald Koeman's first game in charge.

The following season saw a 1-1 draw when Sadio Mane tapped in a Gaston Ramirez effort on the line in the closing stages, before being sent off in injury time.

Saints travelled to Anfield in January 2017 for the League Cup semi final 2nd leg defending a 1-0 lead, they did so valiantly and even put it beyond doubt in the final minute with a Shane Long winner.

A few months later in 2016/17 saw a 0-0 draw in the Premier League and Fraser Forster making a superb penalty save.
