Che Adams Transfer Collapses After Everton Fail To Secure Investment Thursday, 24th Aug 2023 21:17 Many people away from Merseyside were unaware of just how desperate a situation that Everton are in financially, so much, its has just been revealed that with investment talks collapsing they can't afford down payments on players.
According to teamtalk.com Everton are now struggling to find money for transfers after investment talks collapsed.
MSP Sports Capital’s talks to purchase a minority stake in the club ended on Wednesday and now it seems that the toffee's haven't even got enough money to offer more than small down payments on incoming transfers and that is not proving easy for them to find club's willing to sell them players with such a small deposit and then instalments that might be defaulted on.
This is why the transfer of Che Adams to Goodison has stalled and is not doubtful, with Everton facing problems raising capital to enable the new stadium to be completed.
But it is now catch 22 for the Toffee's if they have to pump in all available cash into finishing the stadium that leaves little for transfer fee's unless they can find someone who will accept the very low down payments and willing to wait for the bulk of their money, but with Dominic Calvert-Lewin out with a fractured cheekbone, if they don't find a goalscorer soon relegation could be a real possibility.

Why would CheA swap clubs now and then leagues next year??? Perhaps a year in the Championship with promotion at the end, really get his scoring boots back and maybe perform better in the PL with the same team and many of the same players rather than a switch from a Championship to a PL club??

a P.S to InTimeAdded' comment, the report apparently first arose in the Echo (so take it as you will!!) that the 3-year offer has been on the table for a while but adds the rider that, should he stay, he would be named vice-captain to Jack Stephens.

Good news if no one else comes in for him Palace maybe?

Bournemouth and Palace also interested but Bournemouth have been spending quite a bit this season with £125 million being spent with no sells. Hopefully wages put them off.

Piroe gone to Leeds, so that option gone. Time for Saints to stick up front with Tella, Adams and Armstrong?

There are players that we need to move on and players we need to keep, and it is all down to Martin. I'm certain he has spoken to Wilcox and said his piece on the subject but it's quite easy to see who hasn't featured as surplus in his idea of a squad. Che he obviously likes but hasn't started because he seemed to be on his way. He may not be the answer to a PL striker but we are no longer a PL team & it might well come down to money. most players have their wages cut after a relegation which is not a good starting point in negotiating a new contract. So I believe if it's a choice between staying and Everton it's money. If however a better side comes in it may well be both or purely football.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Southampton Polls |
