500 approaching - Jonah's first team
500 approaching - Jonah's first team

With Jonah's 500th game for Dale coming up this weekend, we've took a look back at the Dale side on the day when he made his debut for the club.

The formation / positions might not be spot on, but I've done my best to hazard a guess at what tactical genius was employed by Barrow that day at Peterborough.

Click on any of the players (barring Jonah) to see what Clarke's Chroniclers had to say about them:

  1) Neil Edwards
2) Dave Bayliss 5) John Pender 4) Adam Reed 3) Andy Barlow
7) Mark Bailey 10) Andy Farrell 6) Gary Jones 11) Mark Stuart

  9) Alex Russell 8) Robbie Painter
  On the bench

  12) Keith Hill 14) Graham Lancashire

Would swap Jones for Russell. peake second best passer of a ball I've seen at Dale, and the best, Jimmy Thompson, think that was the sixties
