Andre Gray has left Plymouth this morning as the pasties weren’t as good as he was expecting.Unless they’ve got more strikers in the club, they might not score enough to outweigh the goals they concede.

I heard a rumour on fb that they’ll be on sale on Monday and they’ll be e-tickets,which will save the hassle of posting them out so late.
I just phoned the Plymouth box office and they say that they’ll probably be paper tickets,so hopefully Royal Mail will get their a@ses in gear and deliver them in time as a few of us will have to leave on the Friday.

Negatives from today
at 23:18 1 Jan 2025

I can vouch for loftboy’s experience of today’s deluge as I was standing in front of him.I had a big puffer coat on that was soaked by ht.It was the coldest I’ve felt at a match for years.
It’s my own fault really as a mate offered me two tickets in the South Africa rd stand in place of mine but I turned him down as I didn’t think it would rain as much it did.
At least we won.

Hoops vs Hornets Match Thread

I think a lot of the turnaround in our season has been because of the backing that Marti and the team got from the fans in the 2nd half of the Stoke game in late November when things were looking pretty bleak.
Maybe it inspired the team to realise that Marti still had our support?

Although 1 in 2 will get cancer in their lifetime, not all will die as a result of it.It would be more revealing to discover the mortality rate of those 50% who get it who go on to die from it.
A lot of cancers are treatable if caught early enough.

You’d think that now they’ve got a few bob they’d move the ground over a bit just so that they be in SW3 rather than SW6.Walham Green w@nkers.

It wasn’t any better watching it live mate, but at they could hear us shouting at them to stop p@ssing around with it at the back.If I had any hair that hadn’t already turned grey,it certainly would’ve done by ft.
I even managed to break the seat in front of me ,but that was by me standing on it celebrating our goal. They’ve either got weak plastic seats up there or it’s time to go back to slimming world again.

Me too,but I couldn’t stand it if Brentford were stuck in the premier league forever.

Injuries

It makes me wonder how players managed when games were sometimes played on consecutive days like December 1977,when we played on the 27th and 28th.Players never spent 30 minutes warming up before games,or warming down either.
Although with back passes to the keeper allowed, players got more of a rest during games than they do now.

I just read in the pink un newspaper that Sainz faces an alleged spitting charge in their game against Sunderland, and some naarwich fans seem to think we’re the dirty team.

We all would’ve taken these results a few weeks ago when we were bottom and starting to get cut adrift.A good point today given the current injury crisis, even if we rode our luck at times today.
A much happier new year than it was looking like in November.

I see that tickets are on sale on the day tomorrow at Norwich, despite both clubs saying that they wouldn’t be.Card only though for those that decide to go.

xmas fixtures, a mystery
at 16:59 27 Dec 2024

We seem to have been hit particularly hard this year with the most western team quickly followed by one of the most easterly ones.
Not much time for the players or the fans to recover.Although it’s only 25 minutes on the train for me on Sunday.
It wouldn’t have been too bad if it had been Norwich and then Swansea because of the lack of trains on Boxing Day.

Apparently Blackpool asked the efl for a change of ref when he was put in charge of one of their games when Oyston was the owner.
