The coach window incident happened after Tranmere won 2-0 and after overt racism from a section of Tranmere fans towards Colchester players. My son videoed the racist chanting and jeering from our vantage spot behind the goal. We sent it with a detailed explanation to Tranmere FC. It was acknowledged but no further action was taken. It was a disgraceful incident. We were driving home and passed the coach which had stopped by the side of the road. Last night at Harrogate was very disturbing and whilst there was no direct threat from rival supporters the opportunity was there particularly with the half mile walk from the stadium to the CUSA coach. We had parked at the District Hospital car park as normal and there was no problem walking to or from the ground. The problem was solely that identified by Noah which should not have happened at all. The Away coaches have always parked to drop off and pick up at the Away entrance to the ground without problem. Traffic was limited especially as it was a Cold Tuesday night in January with just over 2,000 in the stadium. Common sense must be allowed to prevail next season if the Sulphurites avoid the drop and we fail to achieve promotion via the playoffs. Let us hope that the FOI request receives a complete and acceptable response. |

There appears to be interest from Colchester for Bristol Rovers striker Jevani Brown. Gillingham and Fleetwood also interested. My view is I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. Has burned his boats from his previous experience at Colchester. Instead let's get the best out of Tyreece Simpson, retain Samson Tovide and look after Lyle Taylor. After the success of Donnelly and McDonnell from Nottingham Forest do they have a young 19 year old striker that we could sign on loan? Jevani Brown can go elsewhere. Up the U:s |

He hasn't played since 4 January but in fairness to Tyreece he was not allowed to play up front with Taylor and was expected to simply lead the line with little support for the last 30 minutes. He is a big unit (maybe a little too big) but clearly is strong and powerful. Harrogate played with 10 behind the ball and showed little ambition towards the end of the match so he was always a marked man. Will be a different player when linked up with LT. Up the U's |

The pie and mash at £8 was excellent. Great to see Noah and Gerry Good support 162 from the faithful. The CUSA coach was treated disgracefully by being forced to park half a mile from the stadium as Noah had suggested before the game Harrogate must have been in breach of the Disability Discrimination Act by potentially forcing our disabled supporters to make their own way to the stadium but the CUSA supporters paid for a taxi. Their generosity made up for Harrogate's mean and appalling policy. Safe journey home for the faithful |

I just think Anderson is behind Gordon, Edwards and Thorn in the pecking order but he is a firm favourite of the Cowleys. I think it would be grossly unfair to expect Simpson to come on for 20 minutes on his own up top Play Taylor with him and see what happens from the start. Up the U's |

After a narrow but deserved victory at Bromley the U’s are looking to make it back-to-back away wins with victory at Harrogate tonight. Of course, the big news is the capture on loan of striker Tyreece Simpson from Stevenage. Tyreece should also go straight into the team this evening with Lyle Taylor. The Sulphurites under Simon Weaver are looking for three straight wins and so it should be an intriguing game. I am going tonight with my eldest son and am really looking forward to seeing our new player score on debut. Team Macey Egbo Kells Flanagan Iandolo McDonnell Bishop Payne Taylor Simpson Edwards Subs Goodliffe Gordon Hopper Read Smith Terry Thorn Weather 4 degrees Celsius drizzle and a gentle breeze. Prediction 3-1 to the U’s with Simpson among the scorers on his debut. Be bold DC and play two up top, we are good for it. Safe journey to the travelling faithful Up the U’s |

Guess who scored on his Huddersfield debut. None other but Joe Taylor. Already repaying the £3m fee. Go Joe. |

Quarter Final draw made today. Peterboro v Cheltenham. Former Colchester players v The Robins. Even more anger that we have missed out on a game that was eminently winnable. Still it's over for another season. Sadly |

Just as we didn’t get carried away with 11 games unbeaten (well not too much anyway) now that we have lost the last three games were not getting too despondent (well not too much anyway). I am still seething about Tuesday night, not because of Matt Macey, but because of our toothless attack once Lyle Taylor had been substituted. The silence on transfer deals incoming is deafening and that is causing unrest. Now I don’t know whether Samson Tovide is truly injured or whether it is a desperate ploy to get would be suitors off the hunt. Apparently he has a hamstring injury but then so does Hunt, Bishop and Iandolo. Do we really have to sell anyway, can’t we keep Samson and tell the unnamed championship clubs to foxtrot oscar. Where has the money gone from our six prized assets. The war chest must be overflowing with largesse. If we sign no one else then we must get two strikers in to offer support for Lyle Taylor. Decisions must also be made about Matt Jay and Tom Hopper. Unlike Cyril Lord, he is a luxury we can’t afford. I have always given TH the benefit of the doubt but no more. For his all his endeavour there is no end product and that cost us the game on Tuesday night. I said after that game that either Thorn or JK Gordon should be promoted alongside Taylor in attack. Either of them could do a job and have the pace and ability to hurt defences. Anyway, onto team news: Macey Egbo Flanagan Kells Goodliffe McDonnell Read Thorn Payne Taylor Gordon Subs Smith, Edwards, Anderson, Hopper, Terry, Greenidge Bromley weather, dry, cloudy 4 degrees Celsius. A capacity crowd fro this encounter with Andy Woodman looking to show off his new signing Nicke Kabamba together with stalwart Michael Cheek. Frankly a difficult game and one which now assumes the role of a must win. 2-1 to Colchester in a keenly contested match at Hayes Lane. Safe journey to the travelling faithful. Enjoy the match.
