Have we ever had 28,000 for a Div Two home game?
at 12:07 18 Jan 2015

We had several gates of 28,000 and above in the second tier back in the 1930s. The highest being 30,759 against Leicester in 1936.

28,771 v Preston in 1933
29,626 v West Ham in 1935
29,059 v Blackburn in 1937

Paul Jewell at WBA?

"Gerry Francis? Blimey, where has he suddenly appeared from?"

I think you'll find he's worked with Tony Pullis since 2008.

This is a BFC Forum - why do some see it as anything else?
at 14:07 29 Dec 2014

Its about a lot more than the next match or even the rest of this season, its about the whole future of our Club.
Football debate is welcomed and I look forward to days again in the future when more than just the odd thread is about what happens on the pitch but there are a lot wider issues at stake at the moment.

Which player has disappointed you most?
at 10:18 29 Dec 2014

Tempted to say all of them.

Up until yesterday I would say Orlandi. Had high hopes for him but so far this season had done nothing but write a diary.

He delivered yesterday though and looked like the player I thought we were going to get.

Not easy for anyone to shine in our team though unless you're a goalkeeper.

Africa Cup of Nations
at 11:21 4 Dec 2014

Looking forward to it too.

I'd agree that Group A looks quite weak. Guinea are only in the tournament as they stepped in in the last minute to replace Morocco and I cant see them doing much. BF have a decent side and Congo finished runners up to South Africa in qualification in a group that saw holders Nigeria eliminated. I'd go with BF and Congo from this group. But don't write Gabon off they actually finished ahead of BF in qualification taking 4 points off them

Group B is difficult to call. Zambia have a decent side but finished below Cape Verde in qualification and I think Tunisia will be one of the tournaments stronger sides. Im going with Tunisia and Zambia from this group.

Group C as you say is very tough with all four teams quite decent. South afrca are probably the weakest team in the group but if they were in another group, say group A they would be group favourites. Toss up for second spot between Ghana and Senegal, Im going with Ghana . Algeria will top the group. Hasn't Avram grant just taken over at Ghana?

Group D

I think Ivory Coast and Cameroon will come through this group. they qualified together with Cameroon coming out on top.

My choice of tournament winners Algeria.

Are we already relegated?
at 10:31 6 Nov 2014

Its a pretty stiff task facing us. statistically you need between 11 and 14 wins to stay up and we have only 30 games now to improve on our current "haul" of 1 win. With a pretty obvious lack of quality in the squad its going to take an extraordinary turn in fortune to turn things around.

Over the past 10 seasons the number of wins gained and points accumulated to finish safe in 21st spot is as follows

from 2013/14 going back in time

11 wins 44 pts
14 wins 55 pts
13 wins 48 pts
11 wins 48 pts
14 wins 49 pts
13 wins 51 pts
14 wins 53 pts
13 wins 49 pts
12 wins 50 pts
12 wins 50 pts

Its a tough ask for Clark.
