How good is this guy going to be? At first (last season) I thought just a strong premier league player but watched the Spurs v LFC highlights earlier and he was superb, still only 19. He also had a good game against Southampton and took his goal very well and was one of the few players to come back from Brazil with his reputation reinforced. I suspect if these performances continue a BarÃ§a or Madrid will come knocking, especially if he gets exposure to champions league games. Unreal to think he was at Qpr and what could have been in another time and place.

For those of you state side - this link is very useful - looks like all games will be shown live through NBC or one of their related channels or their live platform on the web. Rangers make their TV debut for the season on CNBC against Spurs.

SWP v MP

Watching the friendly online, seriously in all of his career I can count on one hand the number of times SW Philips he has hit a well weighted cross, it beggars belief really - if we were one nil down in a premier league game and a cross fell to SWP I would not get excited. Matty Philips on the other hand seems to put a dangerous ball in every time, even if he's not on the break. I really hope the coaching staff observe these things because good crosses win games, specially when you have Charlie in the box.
