Surely its better for Tan to bail them out for 5 mill and maintain control over the debt owed to him, than let the club go into administration and join a list of those owed money, with unrealistic chance of having his full return. |

Getting back to the point - agree its gone well today - important results, with some teams being dragged down into the relegation fight like norwich and Bournemouth.

Just looked at the website to see what other kits they make - Espanyol, Sampdoria, Toulouse etc.
Some nice designs - like the "classic" basic type kits.
There must be some sort of commercial incentive or Swans wouldn't have selected them. |

What a game! Nervy as f**k.
Britton and Ash were incredible.
Dare I say it, despite being offside twice in his first three minutes, Gomis was unlucky not to score that goal.
Ki doesn't seem up for this at the moment.
Fully agree with others, couple of new signings (a striker a must) and the added impetus of appointing this new guy and his assistant, and i'm feeling a lot more positive than I was. |

Would love to have Allen back. Between him, Britton and Cork for the 2 central/defensive midfield roles. Better than Ki in recent times and I don't think Liverpool have ever truly appreciated the player they had on their hands - and BR didn't help that with his 'Welsh Xavi' comment.
A great addition - but absolutely not the priority - the priority is undoubtedly a goal scoring forward. |

As others have said, will fully support Curt, but in the words of the great Johnny Vaughan, this is a mockery of a sham of a sham of a mockery...
The board need to deliver 2 things now - in the transfer market, and get some help in for Curt.
John Hartson couldn't have dropped any more hints that he wanted to be the manager, he lives in Swansea and he has experience of coaching with Wales - and he could score goals, something we obviously need help with - get him in as a coach. I'm sure he'd consider both a short term or longer term coaching contract. |

and his odds on Coral have been reduced from 33/1 to 10/1.
Curt still favourite though, with BR at 5/2, Sampaoli 10/1 and F De Boer 12/1 [Post edited 6 Jan 2016 21:26]

lumped on at 33/1 a couple of weeks ago.
Vickery has mentioned it on twitter this evening, basically saying he won't be short of offers and we need to be persuasive.

I like Hazza Rezza but I think his judgement is clouded here. He's not going to knock Bournemouth considering how connected he is with the club, and he can't do anything but back his friend and recent colleague McLaren.
I'm not saying that what he's said is without merit - but is not as cut and dried as it seems.
For what its worth, I think it'll come down to Newcastle being worse than us - those around us won't get pulled down, we won't get much better, we just have to hope Newcastle stay crap or get worse.
That is, unless we recruit a manager soon and strengthen in the way we need to - with that, my prediction changes. |

My problem with Gomis is he has not backed up his whinging. He complained about game time when Bony was here, he then got the game time and did ok at first. He had the status of first choice striker given to him and he was found wanting.
If he wasn't on big wages, and teams didn't keep coming in for him (if thats true), I would keep him as backup and ship out Eder (after finding a new striker, or two) - but first choice striker, and worth his wages, i'm afraid he is not.... in the form we've seen.... |

The very definition of hit and miss from one end of the spectrum to another - Adebayor, available on a free
Peter Crouch - proven goalscorer but probably passed his best - probably a small fee.
Both big wages.
I'm not saying we should but I thought i'd throw it out there and start the debate!
Would either of them be a good signing for us right now and crucially are they better than what we've got? |
