"Brick Top says he’s going down in the fourth...." SNATCH. What a film that was back in the day (2000). Comical and brutal in equal measures. It also featured one of our previous players/managers..... |

Clive The Nigella part of this had the old chuckle muscle working overtime! (But so true!) "Robotic mechanical predictable tedious Premier league." Bang on the money there. |

...but he's adapted to work with the tools (and some of them are) he's been given. That had me chuckling so much my other half asked what I was laughing at. "Oh nothing." I see that nearly 91% predict a home win on Saturday. Let's hope so. Being an old timer I can remember the R's putting 8 past Sheff Wed in a league cup game here at The Bush back in 1973. A scrappy 1-0 would do just fine this weekend. |
| News Comment | Innnnn one - Report at 11:35:06
I started watching the post-match interview but after about 90 seconds hearing the same old same old I started counting the seats in the background. Looking at last night's results it's going to take a miracle of second coming proportions for ANY new manager to turn this around. Painful. |

Great report Clive, but I would say that in effect the gap to Plymouth is 5 points. Their goal difference -1 ours -13. That means we have to win 2 whilst Plymouth lose 2 just to catch up-and this is written before WBA away and Leicester at home! Baldrick supply us with the cunningest of cunning plans,Please! |
| News Comment | And we never spoke of it again — Preview at 10:47:50
So just out of interest, if we escape getting a red card today will that be a first in that we've gone a whole season without a player getting sent off? Perhaps the old adage that "nice guys finish last" could almost sum up this season! |

Well said Royboy48. I think the celebrations yesterday were more of relief and the thought of dropping down into League 1 with all the carnage that would have led to . Yes changes will need to be made between now and the beginning of August but let's not forget that QPR have been playing in the top two divisions-bar three seasons between 2001-04-since 1967! That is quite a remarkable stat for a club of our size. |

Great stuff Clive! A fabulous read. Most remarkable away victory since New Years Day 1992. Perhaps even more so considering the wretched run of form we've been in. Without wanting to spoil the party, remember what happened at the Dell after that 4-1 hammering of Fergie's mob? Let's hope history doesn't repeat and safety can be guaranteed come 5 o'clock Saturday. |
| News Comment | QPR cling to positives and single point as situation darkens — Report at 20:23:10
And still we cling on in hope that -one for the youngsters-everything will turn out fine (Stealers Wheel). Living in hope that Burnley will have both eyes on their clash with Blackburn. Hoping that Stoke will be "on the beach" and hoping against hope that the 8th of May clash with Bristol City will be a re-run of that (glorious?) 9th of May day back in 1999 when everything DID turn out fine, if only on a temporary basis. 2 wins from 28 and we're hoping for 2 in 3.Hmm....... As a Bees mate of mine said to me "We might be a bus stop in Hounslow but at least we're not on the road to nowhere." i didn't have a comeback. |

Your starter for 10. One of the most famous adverts back in the 80's was made for the Milk Marketing Board. The never to be forgotten phrase is one we could have the answer to next season. That phrase? "Accrington Stanley, who are they?" |
| News Comment | A cavalry charge, played on a kazoo — Report at 21:29:31
"You could make a fortune with in-play betting with these chumps." That, Clive, certainly had the old chuckle muscle (@ Ken Dodd) working overtime! What a shambles this season has turned into. I'm old enough to remember the 68-69 debacle, but we came back much stronger from that. Can anyone honestly say that if (when) we go down this time we will come back stronger? More to the point WILL we come back? |

Wigan v QPR. The footballing equivalent of two bald men fighting over a comb and it's all happening on April 1. COME ON YOU RRRR'S!!! |
| News Comment | QPR slip further into the mire with dire Brum loss - Report at 10:30:35
To paraphrase Benny Hill's 1971 Christmas number 1 Ernie.. "Was that the trees a rustling or the hinges on the gate or Critchley's ghostly voice whispering you sacked me and your still in a right old state" I don't think Pep,Klopp and Sir Alex combined could get a tune out of this lot. |
| News Comment | A horrible new low — Report at 19:23:58
Hey Clive Re your final paragraph. How about 22nd April? But then again with this lot it could well be sooner. |

Clive The line "don't have one boy capable of standing up front and doing his(Lyndon's) job for a dozen games" was put into perspective having watched"The Big Match Revisited". Luton away 1979.Playing up front for us that day..Clive Allen and Paul Goddard. Both having come up from the youth set-up.Yep you read that right! Of course Clive scored the equalizing goal that day. Watching that and equating it to the mess we are in now would bring a tear to a glass eye. |
| News Comment | Ainsworth's homecoming barely moves the needle - Report at 21:12:29
So 1 win in 19 and say 3,minimum, required from our final 11 games (forget Burnley away). Being of a vintage age I can remember season 68-69. 1 win from our last 23! Following the Hull away caper I mentioned it was not too early to have a look in the rear-view mirror and pop pickers Meat Loaf seems too have been proved correct. Objects in the Rear View May Appear Closer Than They Are!!! If Wild Thing can prevent this lot getting relegated he deserves the freedom of Shepherd's Bush! Or at least free life membership to the Magic Circle. |
