I took ten large bags of garden waste to the local tip this morning. Taking a friend’s dog for a bark in the park this afternoon as he is recovering from falling down a set of concrete steps! If I get really bored I could always go to my local bottle bank and stick my arms through the holes for clear glass and coloured glass and pretend I am working at a nuclear power plant 😎☢️ |

Saintmark1976, I think you’ve cracked it. You will need to have seen the Apple TV+ series Constellation to understand this, we have got the duplicate Ross Stewart on the treatment table. Wait a minute, Leicester have successfully challenged PSR, the City charges are older, were they FFP not PSR? If they are structured differently maybe the PSR precedent can't be used? Sadly, I think I might be clutching at straws. |

And in addition to missing out on Nelson, Ipswich have also missed out on Broja. Apparently some issue at his medical over a foot injury, Ipswich wanted to re-negotiate the deal, Chelsea not having it, deal off.
He would not have liked it there anyway, there is no underground car park at Portman Road  |

I reckon your sums are about right. From my understanding Arsenal want £30m for Ramsdale so I reckon they’d want a £5m loan fee with the obligation to buy at £25m (if we stay up). This would get to the sort of figure Arsenal want in total to let AR go.
From what I have read if Alcarez goes to Flamenco they will be paying in 5 instalments between now and 2026 so we might just scrape together the bulk of the loan fee from the first instalment on the basis the first instalment is usually slightly more than the other instalments. So, here we are in a league we can’t win playing teams we can’t beat.
Lead by a ‘blinkers on’ manager too stubborn to change a system doomed to fail from day one.
Part of a multi-club format that is of absolutely zero benefit to SFC, in fact, in Goztepe I’d liken it to having a needy ex-wife that always needs more alimony.
Owned by muppets more interested in bottom line profits with which to line their pockets than properly investing in the genuine needs of SFC
Bankrolled by yet another so called ‘lead investor’ billionaire with deep pockets and short arms
Without proper ownership investment, hamstrung by financial fair play rules that are anything but fair as they ensure the fat cats stay fat whilst the rest of us are kept down and well away from being able to challenge their cartel - not that we ever will under the current owners!

Very good point, IMO it was mainly Wilcox’s influence that set the club off on the possession football trajectory. I also seem to remember almost immediately post relegation season the owners did some soul searching that lead to the apology / statement put in the Echo where they said they were changing direction to embrace a possession football based philosophy so I think NJ was pre current thinking. Think they might need another meeting! 😊 |

Quite right, for example Szmodics has just been snapped up from the Championship for a base fee of £9m. I get what Nick is saying in that SC did make some positive contributions but who would you have rather spent £10m on last summer or even this summer out of those two? Considering what SS can give you for that sort of money SC doesn’t look great value. |
