Bernie the Poison Dwarf (who brought out Flabio's shares) described the Mittal offer as "derisory." Given he'd paid a penny a share for the club (£1m plus taking on £14m of debt), getting Fernandes to pay £35m was great business. One could imagine the Mittal due diligence process went a bit further than doing a few kick-ups in the board room and realised the club was built upon what can only be described as solid bed of cùnts. |

I honestly think it's equal mixtures of two elements we were utterly lacking - pride and self-respect. Burnley were good but they're not Rinus Michels Ajax team. They did the basics very well and worked hard at it. That's pretty much all you need to do to beat this Rangers team. |

The analog equivalent would be Paladini going around pubs in the Bush telling everyone how disloyal Ian Holloway was when linked with the Leicester job. |

Let's not forget NO-ONE had heard of Nourry until he appointed himself. |

Yeah, I despised Venables for upping sticks for that tin-pot Catalan outfit. |

It's honestly no dig at you mate - page 3 of that thread I've made a similar similie about the treatment room and got a volley - fair play, I was being facetious. And a bit of a snarky cùnt. Again, not your problem |

On a point of order, similies referencing the Somme (wholly, partially or by implicit association) are sick and pathetic. |

They don't think our injuries have been that bad? We have professional athletes in a sport that requires aerobic and anaerobic conditioning who are gassed after 25mins of jogging. Do these people not think anyone else has fùcking eyes? |

It wants to be individual balloons as if you think I'm putting my balloon knot anywhere near a giant communal balloon knot, I'll have to disappoint you. |

I used to think statements like "...no situation that cannot be turned into a pass back to Paul Nardi" were a bit OTT until yesterday. Then we got a corner toward the end of the first half that was half-cleared out to Ashby 10yards inside their half who did Swansea a solid by completely clearing it back to Nardi. It's anatomically impossible for me to stamp on my own bolloçks (for now, give it a decade and we'll see) but I came close to it on Monday. |

I was at Brentford v Brighton on Saturday (free tix) and on that game it's hard to see how Brighton are 10th. They ended up taking Wellbeck off and then took a page straight out of the Ian Holloway school of game management by putting their gigantor centre-back up front and cannoning long balls up to him. |

Whatever strings he came with weren't located at the back of his thighs. |

I think the current squad is a lot weaker than the squad that first Gerry and then Ollie failed to keep in this division in 2000/01 so relatively speaking 'prevented relegation’ is no mean achievement. I completely agree with your concerns around whether or not there is any coherent succession planning for when Marti leaves because for me those mid-table finishes become relegation battles and invariably, relegation. It's been said a hundred times here but we've changed managers, players, squads and backroom structures (often to accommodate a manager that's gone a season later) and we're seemingly no closer to the solution. The one opportunity we had to effect real organisational change when Les resigned and Hoos checked out - the cleansing of the Augean stables - we allowed Nourry to appoint himself to both roles. The only thing left to change is the ownership and that will require a significant initial investment, an annual £25m infusion just to stand still and absolutely no guarantee of success. |

I’m not sure others will look at his time here as successful enough to try and tempt him away with a better offer. I don't claim to be ITK or anything but I can easily envisage people "inside" football thinking anyone who has QPR even flying level is doing a fantastic job because anything less than a strong manager and we tend to very easily tip over into a screaming dive into the mountains. |
