My Stoke supporting colleague and I have Just had a very enjoyable re-read of Clive's match report following the dire game last season [NB Clive - match reports for 17/18 and 18/19 are the wrong way menus]. Masterful stuff. Do treat yourself. You'll chortle, marvel at Clive's skill and, if you are going on Saturday, pray for much, much better & that Clive doesn't have to reach once again into his personal memory bank for a dire enough comparison to use in his introductory paragraph.

'I did what I could with the odd bit of advice to the boy Darren but its his team really. If only they given me a call earlier I could really 'ave made a difference. A transfer window would have meant I could get Niko in to do a job.' |

Well I'm excited to see the old team tomorrow anyway ... Have watched the season review video in preparation. Man, they scored some great goals. And knew how to celebrate with the crowd. Anyone at Rushden & Diamonds to see Gaz's 2 volleys in person? Can Joey Barton and SWP ever have dreamt, as they swept us aside when playing for Man City in the Carling cup, that Loftus Road would end up as their home ground 10 years later. Or that SWP couldn't get on the bench even for us by that time. Or score a goal. Or stay upright. |

Bored and out of sorts at being abandoned by the Dear Leader & with no Barnsley match report to read, I mosied over to the archive section to read the one for the last game with played Milwall. Wanted to know if Hill & Farulin played and experienced the bear pit (they did). Apart from also learning that Andros Townsend played for Milwall that day, I was chilled by the following:
"Let’s be honest though, work commitments and time constraints mean I’m writing this on Wednesday night and for QPR fans at about four o’clock this afternoon the world collapsed. I dare say a fair few had forgotten we even played last night."
Bet we can all remember exactly where we were when we first heard the news?? |
