Im concerned that if Stephen's is available after his suspension then we can expect him to come straight back at ctr back in place of Janny B.
RM will use the excuse that Janny B will need a rest after his International exertions.
I hope I'm wrong. |

I watched the RM Norwich Legends v Ex Saints Legends Charity match on Sunday at St Mary's.
It was actually really good fun to watch & I'm sure the players loved it (they might be a bit sore today).
RM looked a bit fitter than most & he was half decent but it was very noticeable that he didn't try playing suicidal possession stuff.
Walcott looked a world beater, perhaps we should have kept him & not bothered with Ryan Fraser. (Tongue in cheek comment).
We live in hope that RM comes to his senses & stops playing this crazy possession game. |

I wouldn't dispute that a win is a win regardless.
But I'd rather see an attractive/ entertaining 1-0 win.
But after more than 50 years of watching top flight football what we want & what we get are two totally different things.
It's the expectation of the next half or next game being better that keeps us interested. |

Man City would win regardless of what system they played because they've got quality players that think for themselves & can play any system.
Also if you watch them they don't play too much suicidal possession football in their own penalty area, they do it further up the pitch & unlike Saints they speed their game up when they are near opposition goal. |

I actually fell asleep.
And I have trouble sleeping.
So in future when I can't get to sleep I'll just replay an England match.
But some will say, it doesn't matter if its boring, it's the the result that counts. |

We won't be signing anyone in January because we'll be rooted at the bottom of the lge & no-one will want to sign for a club that's getting relegated.
And our owners won't be investing in the team, they'll be planning for another season in Championship.
I do hope I'm wrong & I'll enjoy a huge slice of humble pie. |

By overloading midfield you inevitably leave yourself short of players in other areas & are vulnerable to be hit on the break. |

Whatever happened to the Consumers Rights.
If you buy something that's not fit for purpose then you're entitled to get your money back.

Yes , he did Overload the midfield.
But with forwards,
Declan Rice was the only genuine midfielder.
We were totally overun in midfield & a shambles at the back.
We were very lucky not to lose by more.
Greece outclassed us in every department.
The Greek keeper had nothing to do all evening. |

Tired after 58 minutes.
Perhaps RM should concentrate on getting them fitter with harder, staminer building training sessions.
Every team we've played this season have looked sharper & fitter than we are.
When you are relying on players that aren't as good as the opposition you can make up for it by being fitter & stronger than they are.
Technically we are not as gifted as most of teams in the Premier lge which is understandable with our limited finances so we have to find othe ways of bridging that gap , if we can't do that it's inevitable that we'll get relegated. |

Not sure I agree, the modern day footballers are earning a lot more than the likes of Ron Davies & David Armstrong ever did, who incidentally were both full International players at the top of their trade, unlike Ross Stewart.
Alright it's sad that any player should suffer as many injuries as Ross Stewart.
But Ron Davies had to rely on charitable contributions to get a hip replacement & Alan Ball ( World Cup winner) sold his World cup medal to provide for his family.
Not sure Ross Stewart will ever be worrying about paying his Utility Bill. |

Another crazy team selection today.
I've now realised what RM us up to, he knows he's out of his depth & he's just making sure that this is his last game as our manager knowing that he will have a nice long holiday on full pay. [Post edited 5 Oct 14:20]
