We need to get TAR delivering those crosses into him again, just like Trent Alexandria-Arnold |

We also had KH as manager, who -whilst perhaps no longer at his best - had enough in his armoury to enforce a draw with Spurs and utilise his squad so they were running through brick walls over that period The comparison i'd be inclined to make is obvious |

Basically turning his players into some kind of "victims of circumstance", typical of the way things are approached in recent times It's a mentality that needs to change if Dale are to get back.into the EFL, which continues to beg the question of where it arises, despite yesterday's pleasing result |

Well done Dale Latics got turned over by Barnet at Boundary Park so perhaps some kind of context, but the playoffs seem more of a long shot now We'd need to win the FA Trophy to compensate if we miss out in the league [Post edited 1 Mar 17:02]

Desperation-stakes subs is a very long way from the fundamental changes needed Plan Zero, not Plan B, and even then he couldn't up the ante at corners |

Snatching that point just about keeps us hanging onto the coat-tails of the playoffs but in reality, tonight seemed like another example of why we're not going to make them All eyes on Saturday now, and the chance to rescue something from the rubble of what should've been an upswing in our fortunes |

All this constant "we need to do this" or "change this" is just as boring as the play itself It's not going to happen folks! Not on Jim's watch |

I've no doubt the Ogden's have skills, or access to skills, in the recruitment business - "for crying out loud" I'm pretty sure they know how to conduct interviews too - "for crying out loud" Does Spencer Ogden (company) understand the managerial requirements to return to the EFL? The suggestion they might is laughable... crying out loud optional |

Are you saying he'd be tasked with making the decision to terminate JM's contract, if such a decision were to be made? That's what i'm referring to: who makes the decision? And if it's Delves, what experience does he have in making a new appointment? None. That's my point [Post edited 24 Feb 13:41]

To say that "everyone" does is massively overplaying it too The hard facts are known to many, as is the likelihood that those figures are only going to go one way (downwards) if our current footballing malaise continues into next season |

I'll ask again (not to you in particular), but: Who will "find somebody who will" ? There's no-one at the club with the knowledge or experience to do so. Not counting Gauge, who's acquired 'some' experience but all negative, and wouldn't trust him to catch a cold |

We're a football club If "all the major responsibilities lay elsewhere", who's in charge of overseeing the performance of the manager? It's a question i've asked a couple of times; no-one seems to have any answers as yet It's pretty useless anyone saying McNulty should "use Plan B" (he hasn't got one), "he should be sacked" (who's going to find his replacement?) or he "should be given more time" - by whom? Who's in charge of the football side of things? Once we have some kind of answer to that question - THEN, we can start to take the necessary steps to the brighter future the fans deserve, and the Ogdens deserve for their investment and initiatives in non-football matters |

And sadly, i think you're right Apart from anything else - and as i alluded to yesterday - it's not just about sacking the manager, it's having the experience, contacts and understanding of what's required at our level to make an informed choice about a replacement With Gauge still seemingly involved, he got his fingers burnt twice with managerial choices before plumping for the "in-house" option, and that's where we find ourselves The Ogdens have no experience in the game, although i dare say they can see as clearly as anyone when something isn't working In terms of how things are evolving, and which may explain McNulty's current dog's breakfast of tactical incompetence, this is informative: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c20l7lw3ypzo He's just following trends, but with players who aren't up to it. Clarity of thought on the pitch has gone right out of the window, and my god, does it show! |

There's a gaping hole in the football decision-making at the club The Ogdens aren't steeped in the game, and seem to have defaulted the football decisions to the previous regime - who themselves weren't steeped in the game It showed before, and it's showing now So, who's going to take that decision? I really don't think the Ogdens would want to take that on - just yet |
