I actually believe we will win this game easily 2-0 or 3-0 for a number of reasons but mostly if JCS is in the starting 11. He has a serious bite to him and not even the ref is spared sometimes .It also means we can dominate midfield and unleash hell going forward .
Look for Frey to grab a couple and we might get a penalty even now that would be a rare sight. |

This is just the first cup competition of this season so what is going to change when the FA cup kicks off in January .Will it depend on our league position ,top 10 focus on trying for top 6. Bottom 6 focus on moving up as is the usual case trying to stay in the division .
The arguement that players could get injured is valid but they could also get injured on Saturday or Tuesday juring a league match.
"we are not going to win it anyway " is very popular but good teams knock each other out and weaker teams always squeese through to the quarter finals and beyond most years .
We put out a weak line up against Palace IMO.We started the game very poorly which is a very consistant and troubling trend this season .
We need to come out and start like that game against Leeds and get ahead then see if this team can push up the table like a lot of people on here think.
Oh and try to win the FA Cuo |

Who makes the decisions to throw away cup games over the last few years.Does every Manager (5 at least ) say lets focus on the league or has anybody higher have input into line ups etc.
I strongly agree with Brian here we need a cup run for the fans as well as the financial rewards yet nobody seems to want this at the club.
Look at Coventry City they should have made the FA Cup final last year (should have )and we need to start in January 2025 IMO |

Thanks Boston but that is a bitter pill to swallow .Beaten by 2 poor goals then missing penalties by the width of a post in the last minute .
Eze is pure class but how the fcuk can he beat the same QPR player twice before unloading that deflected goal its so frustrating .
I was hoping for a cup run but I seeing that starting 11 I suspect Marti did not believe we can advance but they showed some fight at least |

That is disgusting news Boston I hope she is ok mentally as well as physically .Nothing ruins a trip like losing valuables by pickpocketing but getting mugged is another level.
My daughter flew to Manchester to see City clinch the league in May this year then hopped across to Barcalona to meet an American girl who lived there but thankfully they were safe.
Lots of pictures of incredible churches and ocean views plus plates of food they ordered so I presume food is big there  |

Bannon also blasted the ball into or over the stands after we scored so that is a yellow card in every game but the ref either missed it or ignored it .
Bannon then proceeded to try a long range shot directly from kick off ( thanks to a poster who explained this ) that flew just over so if that went in god knows what would have happened |

Well that report just about capped off a perfect weekend for QPR fans thank you as always .
Nothing like a late goal to salvage a point after giving up a cruel goal a few minutes earlier it changes the mood completly .
This team has a new found never say die attitude and yes its desperation time by then but that draw will really feel like a win to those players IMO.
As for our new attacking style they lost it on the motorway somewhere so hopefully it shows up this week there is a couple of huge games |

We are starting most games very slowly and surviving until half time then picking it up in the second half under Marti's reign .
Not sure why this is happening but its something we need to change IMO before we find ourself 2 or 3 down and no fightback possible.
I thought we would come flying out of the blocks against SW after they beating us 2 times last season but we were way off it it sounds like .
We need Chair back ASAP he must be so frustrated waiting for his injury to heal |

There was a last second shot by Bannon over our bar that I am seeing for the first time what was that ? it was not mentioned in the match thread.Not sure how close it was but thankfully Nardi had climbed down from his wild celebrations to cover the net.
Going off the excellent thread this week about TV viewers around the world that equalizer tells the difference clearly its as wide as the Grand Caynon .
When SW score all the Wednesday fans turn and give the finger/fingers to our fans and we have to suck it up and take it feeling like they have won it .
When we score and go nuts there is QPR fans running over closer to their fans to return the favour its just pure mayhem and joy knowing we have pulled a point out of the fire .
Our loyal travelling fans are starting to get a lot of magic moments under Marti its long overdue |

I am not educated enough to add to the financial side of this excellent thread .
However I did read that Haaland missed being the first player ever to score 3 hatricks in a row in the league and that is seriously impressive.
I hope his achievements can be seperated from the financial fraud being investigated or is it all connected because his teammates are the best money can buy |

Good man Boston quick upload and a thing of beauty .I wish I had come here first but I always read the match thread when we win (today feels like a win ) or draw.
There is 2 massive issues we would have got fcuked on if Alfie did not kick that ball home.
That first block was as clear a penalty as the game last year WBA maybe where the defender punced it over .The ref ignore that today otherwise he would blow for a PK right away .
The ball looked clearly over the line after the handball but nothing registered on the ref's watch or do we even have that technology in this league.
As for Bannon (he got dogs abuse on the match thread )that was a world class strike but our marking was shocking there
What a great point the trip home will be fun for the 1200 dedicated fans enjoy it |

OMFG what a clusterfu*k but a beautiful sight seeing that net ripple.
It sure looked like that first header was in but the Ref has goaline technology on his wrist or has he ?.
Love watching Nardi step over bodies and pushing his way around looking to get a kick at it then sprinting away like he scored.
Reading this thread it sure sounds like we did not deserve this point but it shows the new QPR never say die attitude and that is impressive .

No TheChef the game has leaped into the future literally with new helmets and strict rules on head injuries ,voilent tackles etc and player welfare is front and center today.They wrap the QB in cotton wool literally to protect their franchise and the league have changed the rules multiple times so much he can barely be touched now to the deteriment of the game IMO.
The financial packages for retirement and long term health issues are excellent I believe due to new bargining agreements between the players union and the NFL.
Of course the anount of torn ACLs, Achilies and all other muscle injuries continue at a pretty hectic rate sinply due to the speed of play and hits etc. |

Excellent post there Rangersw12 and I agree except for your last point.The fans in England who pay their hard earned money down to follow QPR feel way more pain,frustration and anger after every bad performance or losing streak.On the flip side being there when we crush Leeds or score 2 to beat Luton makes up for those miserable nights but they are pretty rare following QPR.
The point about watching it on TV is where I differ from you.Apart from excellent replays and angles its impossible to see what players are busting a gut off the ball or just going through the motions.This is why I love the "Just Back Threads " they normally give a completly different view/rating of players that the TV watchers have formed.
Watching TV by yourself is pretty far removed from celebrating at LF or in the away ends plus you have the pre and post match drinks to go over the game.
Biggest difference living in the US and watching 3 pm games (9 am here ) is when the when the final whistle blows and you drag yourself away from the Russian strippers or even the official telecast you simply walk outside and start cutting the grass or work around the house because its only mid morning .If QPR get hammered are beaten by a last minute goal you can forget it easier when you have a busy day ahead.
The midweek games are no good of course its right after lunch on a work day so the phone comes in handy and Boston takes care of us with highlights when we are eating dinner |

Do you know how he injured his back PBLOCK it seems like a pretty rare injury in our sport.
Is he a gym rat and lifting weights that are too heavy or got taken out in a game with a knee or going airborne in a tackle.
With the window slammed shut he is ours until Jan at least I would love to see him back in that starting 11 and see if he can adapt his game to our new attacking all action style |

The Chicago Bears won the Super Bowl in 85 with one of the most ferocious defenses in NFL history but due to dick measuring clashes between Head Coach (Ditka ) and Defensive cordinator (Buddy Ryan ) they were a 1 and done when they should have won a couple at least .
William "the fridge" Perry was a legend back then but now due to ill health and injuries to brain and body he is in a nursing home broke and doing very poorly according to reports.
Steve ''Mongo" McMichael is dying from ALS due to brain injuries suffered during his Bears career like lots of older players who face crippling injuries and long term health issues due to playing.
McMichael was inducted into thr Pro Football HOF a few weeks ago.They unveiled a bronze bust of his head from his playing days and the contrast of that compared to the poor soul lying helpless in the bed destroyed by the curse ALS was horrific to be brutally honest. |

Saw most of his interview and really like him plus he did play for Ireland and he remembers his time fondly and was an excelent player .
He has a superb team at his disposal now even without Foden,Palmer and Watkins they should blow Ireland out of the water.
He said he will have no issue starting Rice and Grealish despite the reception they will recieve having worn the green shirt for most of their under age internationals before chosing England.
It seems like a fresh start for both teams and exciting times but England are just too strong right now |

Well this was a bit of a jolt when I was reading the first page of this thread now realising its 4+ years old and saw a post by 2Thomas2Bowles that was unexpected but beautiful at the same time. His name was Jim and he is gone to the Promised Land for a few years now so if there is an afterlife he could be reading this 
The fish and chips in England on the greasy newspaper from by gone days remain the benchmark I suspect because in the US its either raw in the middle or you would lose a tooth eating its so hard .
I normally stick to grilled Salmon ,Cod or Walleye when its in season and mashed potatoes but would enjoy a nice Fish and Chips right now |

I just opened a report that was released in Ireland this week about the abuse that was carried out in Religious schools Nicole and it was stomach churning disgusting .It was mostly carried out by priests/christian brothers and lay people but always connected to religion .The brutality those boys mostly suffered was life changing for the worst and they wont get justice because most of the predators are dead now.
There was supposed to be a report on nuns physically and abusing girls in their care but it appears to to have been swept away under some rug .
As for God its impossible to know because nobody has arrived back from the afterlife yet but if it gives comfort ,solace and peace then why not I say.
I try to live by my concious ,hurt nobody ,help who I can and try and show my kids who will carry on my name the way to lead productive lives and far surpass what I was able to achieve |
