Your point no.2 is absolutely spot on. It's a joke up there at the minute. The Trust is a " rudderless " floating ship at the moment and I don't expect any tough questions being asked from them. The club is the same. Credit to the Ogdens taking us on but nothing is changing. The same useless cronies are operating things on a day to day basis.
I have to agree I feel that there is a total disconnect between those that run the club and the fans. I feel at times that they see us as an inconvenience . I've been going to Spotland 65yrs and never felt like I do at this time. It really is sad. If they really want to progress this club and reach that 5000 figure they talk about then I'm afraid something is going to have to drastically change. Of course this is just my opinion.
Im guessing Murrays in-box will be filling up with an explanation from the board regarding this debacle. Its outrageous. Both fans and shareholders deserve a full and comprehensive explanation as to the current position regarding the pitch and drains. However, as per usual, we will just get fobbed off by Gauge and his cronies.
Just arrived at York. Having a few days as well as the match. There are major roadworks at the M62/M1 Junction and all up the M1 to its end for central reservation upgrade. This morning at 11am traffic moving very slowly and at a standstill at times. Travelling at rush hour I would imagine it could be a bit of a nightmare, as it is normally there.Just giving you the heads up if going by car.
Boston also had the match live on TV on the concourse underneath the stand. Seated area. We used to have that too. Revenue being lost at the bar particularly under Smith's Metal Stand
I thought his question about the pitch was perfectly valid. Credit to George Delves for giving quite a decent response. At least as far as he could due to legalities.
I remember it well hence my username. No tippy tappy football in those days or passing it around the backs trying to commit football suicide. Good old fashion football with good old fashion wingers. When footballers were footballers and not the whimps they are today. Rant over !
