The madness in this country
by Southamptonfan at 18:41 10 Mar 2025

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c17q9lrl57ro.amp

So a couple, do the right thing, inform the authorities of a stowaway, and they themselves get fined! So the message is, if you have an illegal in your lorry, in your caravan, on roof rack, say nothing and let him go.

Wolves Game
by SaintNick at 15:50 10 Mar 2025

A very winnable home game on Saturday, it has been an awful season, but perhaps the crowd can get behind the team on this one and we can get to the hallowed 12 point mark

Patriotism
by DorsetIan at 10:52 10 Mar 2025

Trump campaigns on a patriotic platform about making America great and then immediately bends over to the US's traditional enemy, and starts to stiff US allies wherever he can.

It must be confusing for those MAGA supporters to keep up with who's on whose side.

In the UK, Brexit largely led by Farage was also largely about patriotism. Lot's of talk of treachery etc.

But now Starmer is playing the role of international statesman trying to lead 'the West' against tyranny, and Farage is floundering - tied up in knots over his closeness to Trump and some of the synpathetic remarks he's made about Putin in the past.

Funny thing this patriotism malarky.

This season
by saint22 at 03:48 10 Mar 2025

Boy it’s been tough, a bore, frustrating, lacking management, effort the list goes on

I know the majority of us can’t get back to real football in the Championship and are all fed up with the PL. I saw something posted somewhere that rang very true, not a Saints fan but a regular football fan saying this PL season has been the worst ever, 3 teams already down, league winners already confirmed, Forest and maybe Bournemouth only element of surprise, sh1te atmosphere everywhere bar a couple and VAR ruining a third of results each week

Pretty spot on

5 things from liverpool
by 1ASIN12 at 11:49 9 Mar 2025

1. it’s a very easy journey around 4 hours and the ground is very easy to find
2. Plenty of parking though you’ll need to look around as there were 2 car parks next to each other one charge £20 the other £15
3. Easy to get a drink in a little pub 10-15 mins walk from the ground .
4. Hate to say it but my last 3 visits I have to say it’s got one of the best atmosphere from the home fans - makes it easier when you win and have plenty of songs to sing .
5. I find it easier to get away from Anfield than Goodison and back on the motorway by 5:50 .

Travelling apart after a game
by PatfromPoole at 10:09 9 Mar 2025

A good friend of mine saw Sulemana, Onuachu, Bella-Kotchap and Aribo on a London-bound train after the game, travelling apart from the rest of the squad.

Does this speak volumes for a lack of unity in the squad?

Or just a sign of the times of how players are nowadays?

I don’t personally approve of this sort of thing going on.

Danny Rohl
by Heisenberg at 08:08 9 Mar 2025

All of Rohls coaching team he wants around him are out of contract at the end of the season. Once we are relegated the compensation Saints will have to pay Sheff Weds will be significantly lower. It’s looking like this is pretty much a done deal. Unless Sheff Weds offer him a better deal or he gets them promoted.

Let’s stop blaming VAR and the officials.

We are on 9 points after 28 games with a goal difference of -48.

We are a Championship club in The Premier League.

Unless we get some owners who will spend £30m minimum on every player we will never compete in this league.

Get used to Tier 2.

Never any doubt of Liverpool victory as ref makes debut at Anfield.
by saintmark1976 at 17:38 8 Mar 2025

1. Liverpool player given yellow card instead of red for hacking Walker Peters early doors.

2. Smallbone has minor contact with Liverpool player at 1-1, penalty for Liverpool.

3. Sugar has tussle with Liverpool player, ball touches hand, another penalty for Liverpool.

Premiership football isn’t corrupt though is it ?

I wonder
by saint22 at 16:52 8 Mar 2025

I know we have been pretty awful all season but I do wonder how many actual goals we have genuinely given to teams a la Liverpool resulting in us losing?
Must have given away at least 10 points

Seems he was taken ill on a flight back to the UK yesterday, serious enough that the flight had to be diverted to stop in Canada. I hope to hell he is OK as 62 is no age to die.
