Hours of thinking to come up with that idea. How does it 'maximise the attendance at half term'?

The only way is if everyone's friends have kids and are willing to pay just as much as Dad/Mum to get in
Burton game... on 17:08 - Feb 13 with 2439 views | 442Dale | Forgetting the half- term aspect for a moment, this could be something that has worked in the past (like the half-term game promotion mentioned in this thread): Was the take up last time v Northampton (attendance: 2362) made up of significantly enough fans who don't attend regularly? If the analysis pointed to this (rather than regular fans paying less courtesy of a voucher from a season ticket holder), then it's a good idea to use it again. So of the 2362 who turned up v Northampton, what was the breakdown when attendance habits were looked at? This would have been achieved by asking each season ticket holder using their voucher... just as long as we know how regularly the "new" supporter attends. The same method could be employed when season ticket holders buy tickets with their vouchers this time too. Simplest way? Ask them how many games a season their friend attends, keep a record of the answers. Capturing the info of the "new" fans for marketing purposes has been covered on here previously. [Post edited 13 Feb 2014 17:12]

Why didn't the club get UEFA to reschedule the City versus Barcelona game? It could have been free admission tonight and we wouldn't have filled the ground. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yes, we know. The City game was mentioned previously and the goals have just been on the news, so it was definitely played.

Or just use some common sense when rearranging our games?

Unfortunately games have to arranged at mutually convenient dates. The fact there is Champions League football is an unfortunate consequence of that competition expanding at everyone else's expense. When you get clubs like Crawley with seven games in hand, it explains why they have to be fitted in as soon as possible. And Dale did say they chose this week as it was half-term.
| When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf? |

What exactly did the club do to "maximise the attendance as it's half term"? (their words). The £5 mystery voucher was targeted at adults. What was TRIED to encourage more kids to the game? The ground wouldn't have been full with free admission but that's not the issue. Not even TRYING anything is.

Perhaps Keith Hill, the great educator, could educate us on the clubs inaction.

Im assuming a champions league game was always scheduled for last night from months prior though regardless of the teams involved, surely to agree to our games to be schedule with that in mind and agree to play weds instead?Again im not in the know with the finer details so stand corrected if totally impossible to do so?
