Although extremely disappointing again today, I feel there were more positives to cone out of the game than negatives. Initially I was frustrated and angry but after reflecting I am a bit more upbeat. Positives: Bony and Poz did well, dare I say I would like to see us without Michu for another week? Dyer changed the game when he came on We saw a bit more of the passing game we are used to And the biggest positive/lesson: If we keep it simple and get guys in the wide areas to play a simple ball (in air or on the ground) into the box, we have a multimillion pound striker who will score goals, although it's better to have a few players in there. Negatives: Keeping focus until final whistle We seemed to slump back into our lazy style when we pulled level. De-Guzman went missing for large parts again Would like us to push forward from here. As long as the players that performed well today keep the momentum ie dyer, bony.... As they have been guilty of being inconsistent from game to game hence why we keep changing our line-ups. Definitely 2 points dropped. People will say we would take a draw at 2-0 down but remember we were 3-2 up with 30 seconds to go!! Up the swans! | |
