Its going to be a city within a city, it will be paid for by the commercial developments, it is impressive and I hate to say it, it is iconic

Manchester United To Build New Stadium on 10:27 - Mar 11 with 696 views | Joiedevivre | Just seen the first pictures and it looks very odd. Not a toilet bowl like Portsmouth’s Fratton on the sea, more like a UFO.

Absolute disgrace. Must admit, did enjoy Sir Jim Ratcliffe defining what he deems as a ‘proper fan’. Seems to have a lot of plastics up in arms…… If we thought some of our Noddies on Social Media were bad, that Mark Goldbridge takes things to a new level. [Post edited 11 Mar 16:07]

Goldbridge is even worse when you discover that he's from Nottingham and was a forest fan before "discovering" United. Saying that they dealt with him much better than we have our "influencers", he pretty much can't show his face at old trafford because it's been made clear he's not welcome there. As for the new ground personally i think it'll be sad to see Old Trafford go, it's one of the last iconic grounds in the country and can make a hell of noise when they get going. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

They will have to sack a lot more backroom staff (on tops of 200 recently let go), to pay for this. The money they saved on staff hot meals they stopped will not go far towards building this circus tent. Ratcliffe is a dreamer. If it goes ahead, they will potentially have the best stadium in the Championship.
Manchester United To Build New Stadium on 18:57 - Mar 11 with 219 views | dixiefrog | When or when will the architects, designers, owners and town planners not understand, that without the supporting infrastructure then any enormous venue is utterly useless. I’d welcome a New Old Trafford but only with the government assurance that the M5 would be significantly widened to take account for the extra volume.

Sorry City Boy, didn't mean to steal your thunder with my post above, but agree wholeheartedly!
