Who is making the trip this weekend and who is staying up there

Nope, couldn't stomach that. We will get slaughtered. I think it genuinely could be ten nil (although, Liverpool might play a load of reserve team players, as they play in Europe I think), so we might get off lightly.

Hoping to get tickets for Spurs away tomorrow, more for the day out in London, than the football.

Will pop along to this one but not looking forward to it at all .

For some reason Manchester United always get the flack for loads of “glory” hunting fans but Liverpool don’t get any flack despite have just as many .

The trains and motorways are full of just as many Liverpool fans as there are Man Utd fans when they are at home .

No giving this one a miss, it’s a nightmare either getting there, especially by train or getting reasonably priced hotels diue to massive number of fans coming into Liverpool from a far. Which is a shame as I enjoy Liverpool as a city.

It’s also more for some reason far more difficult to get back into the City Centre after the game than from Goodson.

I think Bradley Dock will be awful getting to and from too, but it will be a few years before we get to find out how bad.

Always been more liverpool glory boys than man united in Basingstoke but it is changing now as all the fans of Man U in 90’s have had kids and made them glory seeking gimps as well.

BMD will be a twenty minute walk into town and a whole host of bars. It’s not that far from town at all, I’d say the walk from Southampton central to SMS is about the same.

I've sacked it. Youngest lad is going for a weekend with his mate. Eldest lad is looking at watching Dumbarton on Saturday and Celtic Sunday as his ship is in Scotland

I am watching Half Man Half Biscuit in Cardiff tomorrow instead.

I ran the dock road from Everton's new ground and it is exactly 1 mile from the Liver Building, so slightly less to the bars of Dale Street and Matthew Street, as you say about the same distance from Central Station to St Mary's , I would say slightly shorter.

Only drawback is no public transport

I’ve swerved going to Anfield for a good 4 or 5 seasons, but am bizarrely going this time. Think this’ll only be my 3rd visit there, although I reckon I’ve done Everton close to 10.

Still never seen us win at either though and probably only witnessed 3 draws in total from that lot.

Really? With a gun to my head, I'd have said I'd been with you to Anfield pushing 10 times!

I think with work and not wanting to waste leave ahead of a promotion push next season, I may only have 1 or 2 aways left this season.

Anfield is a real oddity for me and my first visit must have been less than 10 years ago….we drew 0-0. For some reason it always fell on a day I had other commitments. I even managed to miss the Shane Long semi as was flying to New York the same day for my 40th ffs.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I always struggle with an away day in Liverpool. It’s not the easiest/cheapest of places to get to by train, so many of my visits have involved driving, which has meant I rarely venture into the centre. Going all in tomorrow though as I will for Everton in May.

On google maps says 44 min walk from Bramley Dock to Lime St, 31 mins to Moorfield around 15 mins closer to Dale St

So not really comparable to St Mary’s
