Liverpool fans look very envious. I wonder if it will shift the balance of power on Merseyside like City's move to their new stadium did in Manchester?

It is a very iconic ground and right on the Mersey , Manchester City started in their ground in 2003, they were decidedly average for the few seasons in it, until the Arabs rode into town, it's money that talks these days

Ain’t it

LIVERPOOL'S TOP 10 EXPENSIVE SIGNINGS UNDER KLOPP
Darwin Nunez – £85m
Virgil van Dijk – £75m
Alisson – £66.8m
Dominik Szoboszlai – £60m
Naby Keita – £52.7m
Diogo Jota – £45m
Fabinho – £39.3m
Luis Diaz – £37.5m
Cody Gakpo – £37m

Meanwhile Sport Republic spend £98m on 7 players and expect miracles.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

It was £100m on 10 players in fact.

Missed Edwards, Wood and Sanda.

Lots of "if onlys"

Simplistic view. Spend 100m on 4 players. The spine of the team. Average of 25m / player.

GK Ramsdale tick
CB ?
CM ? Fernandez?
CF ????

That would have kept us up. Presence of a quality spine would have improved confidence and quality of other players around. So simple. But no, don't want to break wage structure or not risk getting profit on journeymen....

Ipswich spent better than us.

Delap was a stellar signing; he will go to the very top in the game.

But they will still go down.

Will be interesting to see how they recover next season.

They'll come back up again, or at least play offs. We'll be bottom half at best unless major changes
